The Manhattan is a 20 inch tapered steel dome with a thick base ridge, hung from the ceiling instead of reaching out from a wall. It is the biggest industrial dome we hang, and it does not pretend otherwise. A dome this size wants room. We tell people 15 feet of clearance at a minimum, and that is less a suggestion than a description of where it looks right. Over a work floor, a garage bay, the open middle of a barn, or the vaulted ceiling of a restaurant that is not afraid of a raw industrial look. Hang it in an ordinary room and it will take the room over. Give it the height and it earns it. The tapered shape throws a wide, even pool of light across a floor that a smaller fixture has to work in threes to match. It mounts flush to the ceiling. Every one is spun from 18-gauge American steel and powder coated by hand in North Hollywood, with a porcelain socket we assemble and test one at a time. IDA Dark Sky Approved and UL listed for indoor and outdoor use. Pick your dome color. Every finish is powder coated by hand by our own technicians, so it holds, and a light this size looks right for a very long time. The dark bronze finish reads almost black until the light catches the brown in it. This one ships in dark bronze with a white interior, as a flush mount.
