Is a reasonably well made solid socket. Metal parts are well finished and fit together properly. Instructions for connecting wiring were not provided. A small slip of paper with polarity and wire prep would be good for those not familiar with the task.

So far so good. Replaced some old restoration hardware lamp pieces that had stopped working. Perfect fit and look really nice.

It's like a piece of art! Had to return it because we didn't need it (for a repair) after all, but as lamp sockets go, this one was VERY NICE! Heavy 'silver' (like chrome) plating, big turn switch, it would obviously be an asset to any lamp. I just have no need of it at the moment. If you do, this would be the lamp socket to get! Nothing wrong with the price, either!
