This is a very nice light.My old fluorescent light gave out and I was pleased to find that this one was the same size.It's quite bright but it's also dimmable so I can adjust it for the task I'm working on.If you read the manual you will see that a simple double tap of the power switch will turn it offthen a single tap will turn it back on to the same brightness that it was when it was turned off.The addition of a small spot with extra magnification is handy when needed;and the magnifier cover locks in the up position A welcome feature.The LEDs are arranged so that when looking at the light from the edge they are not shining inyour eyes (another nice design feature). All in all, this is a well-thought-out Magnifying Lamp.

Great price for the quality. Parts are mostly coated metal. Lamp is easy to adjust to stay in position. The clamp is heavy, metal and holds well. Excellent price for a glass lens and the dust cover/lid is great.

I've had this for a couple months now and everything works like it's supposed to. Stays in positioin, relatively easy to move and the light is bright enough could use a few more lumens in my opinion but overall a good purchase

Got this as a gift for a friend that is getting up in age when you start to lose close focus ability. She needed something to "do her nails" with and this fits the bill perfectly! She loves it and the fact that it has two different magnification levels on the lens. It's bright and good looking enough to leave mounted to her dresser. I bought this with a portable unit that she could take on trips and they are both perfect!
