4.7 stars. Lovely looking lamp, that is the perfect size for my small built-in desk area. After two misses on choosing the right lamp, (sorry Amazon), this is the one. The only thing that kept me from giving a perfect score, was the switch. It would have been perfect on the base of the lamp. Instead it is a bit of distance from the lamp. It has a cord switch, & it should have been placed closer to the lamp base itself.This lamp is an eye catching space saver, on my small built-in desktop. I love it!

This is beautiful, but the top wasn't finished. It looks like square bits adhered with plaster to an existing lamp. The base is beautiful, though, so I sanded up the top and we like it now. The top still looks unfinished, but at least the plaster isn't smeared onto the lampshade. If it sat somewhere up high, then no one could see the rough top.

This lamp is exactly what I needed to shine on my art piece and not overpower it. The soft white bulb we supplied was perfect and the height of the lamp is perfect too!One surprise was the shade looked plain white, (made of shell pieces) but when you turn on the bulb it’s a wonderful mixture of soft colors.Truly lovely in every way including the base construction.

Wanted an accent lamp for my living room and this was perfect for the space. Love the color of the lamp; when lit it gives off a lovely amber glow. I wouldn't say you could use this to read by, it doesn't really give enough light for that. But I am very happy with this lamp.

Due to the East Coast storm they arrived a bit late, early jan 2018, but that certainly is not an issue. Just glad it was well packed for shipping and the glass globes survived the frigid temperatures. Not to mentioned packed to avoid breakage very well. A note about packing, Be prepared to take your time. It does not come out of the box fast and easy. Takes a little time to cut the spider web of over used tape LOL. Once out though it's very easy and straight forward to assemble. I installed amber bulbs and used a set of 3 way touch pad dimmers. (bought separately) The effect and look I was going for, was perfection. At first examination, the lamps appear to manufactured with High quality materials and quality control. I saw a set lamps similar to these in a high end lamp shop for over $350. for a set of 2. And honestly the ones in the lamp shop did not have the high quality feel as these do. Good Job to the Guys at the Factory and to the designers. Exquisite Lamps, and Manufactured extremely well. I use to work in quality control and can tell they are Top Notch. So I rate this 5 stars and an Excellent buy from Amazon.

We have four (4) of these from Lamps Plus. They are situated in the corners of our bedroom, and we use with them for a peaceful light show or bright light as needed.There are small squares of colored glass that are epoxied to the outside of the glass shade which are translucent when the light is on. These provide varying shades of tan light through them- very nice effect. The up-cast indirect light is great for a bedroom. The fixture is fashioned out of resin and looks elegant.Lamps Plus also carries a darker version (with darker brown glass and brown epoxy 'grout') but we didn't like its appearance (in person at their store) as much as this version.The fixture comes in a box cushioned by Styrofoam. It includes a compact fluorescent light bulb. The switch is located on the line cord. Assembly is simple and consists of unscrewing a plastic ring nut on the base, placing the shade in the proper orientation around the light bulb socket, and screwing the plastic ring nut back in place to secure the shade. Please don't attempt the assembly with the lamp plugged into power.

I really like this vintage torchiere desk lamp. It has an Art Nouveau look to it, with its amber and caramel mosaic that’s mounted on a short classic-looking pillar-like stand. It looks a lot like a goblet that emits light. I also appreciate the that it’s an uplight lamp as that means it can provide sufficient though not overbearing light for our entire study even though it is a desk lamp because it bounces the light off of the ceiling which creates a diffuse light throughout the room. The 40 watt light-bulb whose light is further muted somewhat by the mosaic means that the light does not provide so much glare that you have to squint at the computer screen while at the same time providing sufficient light to read by.The lamp also comes with an CFL fluorescent light bulb. Mine came in the mail after I had been using the lamp for a couple of days so I was initially confused so if yours comes after you’ve had the lamp for a little bit, don’t worry; it really is yours. It’s a nice little bonus the lamp manufacturer throws in. Not that this little lamp needs it but it is a nice touch.The study is where my husband and I do most of our work which means it's filled with computer and electronics. Nonetheless, we it want to look as elegant as possible. This lamp is functional yet elegant and I greatly appreciate that.I highly recommend it.
