We thought lots of these to put all around our new house. The electric people installed them upside down which actually looked great but allowed water to get inside and several stopped working. I noticed there was an arrow inside that actually said to hang with arrow pointing up to make them water tight. I notified the electrician and he paid for replacement lights and rehung all that still worked. They have been working great and are absolutely beautiful and we have received many compliments. Note to the person that said they did not last long. If they aren’t hung with the arrow pointing correctly the wind and rain will ruin them. May not be your issue I just know we had this trouble and once fixed we have had no trouble. I am purchasing extra to keep for when done do go out as they may become obsolete in the future.

These outdoor dusk to dawn lights are perfect for what we needed. They light up some dark areas on the side of our house, but not with TOO MUCH light. They are quite attractive, and not so big as to look obtrusive during the day. The dusk to dawn feature works without a hitch. They seem to be well made, so we expect them to last for quite a while. I definitely recommend these lights!

We replaced the lights in the front of our house with one of each on either side of the front door. We have a 2 story Colonial and even though these are modern looking they look great on our house! They really look beautiful especially when they are lit up and the bubbles show on the glass. They do exactly what you want then to do which is light up the area when it gets dark outside. They should be good for years without replacing any bulbs or anything like our last fixtures. We had the electrician install them and it took about an hour total to do the job.I wanted to write a review because it helped me to decide which lights to get when I read someone else's recommendation of a product. I would say to seriously consider getting these lights if they meet your particular criteria.We are so happy with end result - They are reasonably priced and look amazing on our house.

these replace traditional fixtures on both sides of the garage doors. didn't need a lot of light but enough since the house is a bit far back from the street light. well, these really impressed. it's a modern light but it works quite well with the look and directed illumination we wanted - out and down. so yeah, that bubbled-plexiglass is quite attractive. i just wish they had additional color choices, like orb.installation is straightforward and simple. the lens (plexiglass) works well be it on or off. it has 2 pre-drilled holes for screws to hold it in place on the fixture. you don't want to overtighten them. in fact, it may be better to allow some play for expansion/contraction and ice. overall, it's nicely designed. i wish it had a center mount to minimize the risk of losing one of the side-mounted screws. what was thoughtful though, they included an additional screw, just in case.we did have to order twice. while the box/packaging showed no distress, one fixture had a dent and some ever-so-slight discoloration.these have a smaller footprint then what they replace. we wondered if they would "lost" with our 3-car door setup; but no. they are less intrusive than what was replaced and much less likely to have cobwebs in places that are difficult to reach. so a keeper, for sure.
