I'm so glad that I got this. I have several because when you need them, you really need them. I like that they are self contained, you don't have to keep batteries around. And they recharge easily and quickly. They are a good deal!

I can't compare the lamp's brightness to other similar products. But its size makes it packable. It will never be left behind like the classic Coleman lantern is.

Once in a while, you come across the product that I’ll perform the claims of the manufacturer. For me, this light was extraordinary and how much light and produced for an extended period of time. Coleman has been consistently good in all products I have purchased from them and I would certainly buy this product again if needed.

Review Update: I liked the smaller 400 lumen Coleman Classic Rechargeable Lanterns so much that I ordered 2 of the larger 800 lumen Coleman Classic Rechargeable Lanterns. Those are working out fantastic, too, and have the added bonus of being able discharge, so you can use the lantern to charge a cell phone or similar electronic device. Plus the bottom of the lantern unscrews for storage of the USB charging cord. Photo of larger lantern shows light on low. Easy to use with great light visibility.=====Original Review:I ordered this Coleman Classic Rechargeable Lantern primarily to use to illuminate our laundry room area, so that are elderly dog Sid (he's losing eyesight due to advanced age) can see better in the dim or dark room when he has to go outside to potty. Also wanted the lantern for emergency power outage lighting. This Coleman Rechargeable Lantern has exceeded all of my expectations!- Very high quality of design and materials. The compact, lightweight size makes for versatile use. The lit lantern area is crystal clear and provides outstanding illumination. Easy to toggle between illumination setting with a button on top of the lantern.- Recharging: I really like the recharging station on the side. Makes it easy to get to. The lantern is easy to charge and holds its charge for the durations as advertised. On the low setting I am using, it lasts an incredible 40 hours!- Clear light illumination, I have it set on the low setting and that provides comfortable, easy to see light. The lantern also features medium and high light illumination, and a strobe setting.This dependable rechargeable lantern will last a very long time, making it a terrific value. I highly recommend this product.

Compact and handy, and as the headline says, no more D batteries to wrangle. I had an older model Coleman electric lantern that was great, but this is even better. However, the package I got had no USB cord included in it, though that was stated as being included on the package itself. Seller (Xcess Limited) did not have a replacement cord and only offered a refund if I returned the product. Buyer beware, I guess.

Bright and long lasting. Sized more for traditional RV or Car camping. Nice light if you have space.Takes up too much space for backpacking.
