Easy to setup smart lightbulbs at a reasonable price. I tried these as the Amazon Basic smart bulbs were out of stock. Would definitely buy again.

These are so easy to use and set up. I love the ability to dim and raise the level of lighting. This is so helpful for maintaining quality sleep hygiene for me at night. I bought enough for my whole house!

Update-after one month, one of these bulbs turned on out of the blue and now will not work with Alexa or the app. I tried removing it from the app and re-pairing, but it will not enter pairing mode. And when it’s turned on by the lamp-switch, it quickly gets very hot. So my initial positive review has changed. So far these were easy to set up and they work well. They require an app, but after setting them up in the Sylvania app you can pair them to the Alexa app seamlessly.

These bulbs connected as smooth as butter. It was easy to connect it to Alexa--literally one click. The Google link took more time but I eventually got it. There wasn't the usual flip of the light switch to activate the connection. It just connected!! I think there was one buttton to click. It literally took more time to set up the app account than to connect the bulb to the internet and the app(s).Please don't buy them. I need them to be available when I need more. If you buy these bulbs be aware they require your lights to be on a whole house smart system. I was never able to pair them with the SYLVANIA app!

These are fairly dim bulbs by 60w equivalent standards. Setting them up is a pain in rear end. The standard setup never works and you have to go through that (which takes about 3-4 mins) before it will give you the other way. The alternate method requires you to turn bulb on and off in certain sequence which depending on the fixture you are installing them in can be troublesome. This is particular a pain when you are setting up multiple bulbs and you already know the first way wont work.TIP - set these up in a normal lamp to start with then put them where they should go.They do seem to work well even outside as far away as -70db signal strength. They do not particularly like the cold however. I have one on an outside light on a barn that once i year i need to take down bring in let warm up for a few days then take back out - kinda a pain doing this in the winter in the snow 15'in the air.Overall for use in lamps or lights that you cant run a switch (because of how they are wired) these are a nice option. They need to make these in 100W or 150W versions however.These integrate with alexa nicely and seem to allow for all functions including dimmer. They are nice because if you turn them off and back on again via the switch the bulbs come on so if you are outside and just want to turn that light you don't have to open the app or alexa on your phoneFinal tip - if you put these in outdoor lights make sure the sockets are not dusk to dawn sockets - i thought my wifi was freaking every day for a few days until i found the sensor on one set of these.

I am really enjoying these bulbs. The light they give off is lovely and soft and I love the ability to dim. I previously had a Wemo plug for my lamps but the firmware was never up to date and frequently stopped working. So far, these work great with the app and integrate nicely with Amazon Alexa. One challenge is the Alexa app doesn't recognize these bulbs as Sylvania Hue, but if you do a search under 'other' - they are recognized easily by Alexa. Once I figured that out, installing and integrating with Alexa was a breeze. My kids are squealing with delight asking Alexa to turn on their bedroom lights. (Why buy them toys at all?!)
