Solar Fountain for Bird Bath

nifty little bird bath pump. early morning indirect sun gets it going. full midday sun generates quite a stream. with no nozzles, just the outlet tube, I get 1 inch bubbling up in weaker light, and a good 8 inches in strong sun. I'm not even inclining the solar panel. it just lays flat on its back.

This pump/fountain works as advertised and isn't very expensive, but has its issues:No ON/OFF switch, so unless panel cable is unplugged the pump will run continuously whenever panel is exposed to sufficient ight even when pump does not have water.No battery, will not run at night or very well without direct sunlight. During overcast sky, or a passing cloud, the water flow is low or intermittent.Cannot easily mount the solar panel, it would be better if the solar panel came with some type of mounting device for best placement.

Bought one and didn’t work. Pump wasn’t working despite solar panel being under full sun. I requested an exchange and I got the new one today and it works surprisingly well. My fountain bowl is a bit smaller for the splashes but will definitely work on a pond. It won’t work at night though, only when under full sun unlike other solar panels that charge for the night. I’ll see how long it takes until it stops working and come back :). If you’re hesitant, don’t be! But if yours don’t work, request exchange!!

This little thing is very powerful fot how tiny it is but only runs while the solar panel is in direct sunlight. If a cloud blows by, it stops & restarts once the panel is back in full sunlight so i guess it doesn't have a rechargeable battery on the panel it will just run on sunny days & never at night or when its overcast or a cloudy day.I ordered to use in a 16 in planter that Im making into a patio fountain/ pond & i feel like its too powerful for this size bowl. I think it would be best for something larger in diameter than 16 inches because the water splashes out alot while its running. For the price, this is a very affordable option for a solar fountain if you dont need it to run 24/7!

This little thing works! I did have to drill the holes on one of the tips to get a more custom fountain, but I would buy again absolutely!

This little pump works great. I like the choice of nozzles to create different fountain effects. So easy to use and reliable too. The price is reasonable and it makes my little bird bath attractive to birds and bees! Water flow is very good so if you don’t want the water to be too strong on the outflow, just put part of your solar panel in shade. You can adjust it that way.
