First of all, when did lamps become so expensive!!!! I was shocked as I started the hunt for some simple bedroom lamps. I couldn’t commit to any because of sticker shock and finally came across these and I love these lamps. The touch feature is one of the best parts. They are not super sensitive, which prevents them from accidentally turning on incessantly, but are easy enough to tap on and off. From a distance, the look is pretty classy. It’s simple and clean and does the job. The only reason I put it down a star is because velcroing the shade on your own cheapens the look a little. It slightly dents on that side and doesn’t have the classy look that other shades have. But for the price and the convenience of touch technology, I highly recommend.

When I saw the box delivered, I thought maybe they are dropping off one lamp today and another tomorrow. Nope! 2 lamps are in the box. I took them out immediately and started following the instructions. It says to velcro the lamp shade together. I was looking for velcro but it's on the ends of the lamp shade. This is not your typical sturdy, plastic lamp shade. No, no, no. It has a plastic coating inside but not sturdy. I don't recommend velcroing the lamp shade first. You have to clamp the top part (clips are attached to the lamp shade, to the metal square included. If you don't have the velcro right, you will have to unclip everything off of the metal square. They are very snug and you have to be gentle to take them off. Surprisingly, I was able to get them off without breaking any. I always mess things up. That's why my husband doesn't allow me to do projects alone. Start at the corner and start clipping around the edges. When you get to the last corner, then velcro. Then you have to screw off a ring around the lamp where you put the bulb. Be careful to just unscrew the ring. The base will turn, too, if you don't hold the top and unscrew the ring (yep, I did that.) Be sure to put the bottom part on in a way that it looks like a roof. Again, I'm not allowed to do projects alone and I did the opposite. Had to unclip it again. I put the metal part back on the base and then tightened the ring over it. I put the light bulb in (yeah, even I can do that) and plugged it in. You can touch anywhere on the lamp and it lights. I stepped back to look and admire my accomplishment of putting the lamps together and realized the lamp looked crooked. It wasn't me. I didn't do anything wrong, I swear! I held onto the lamp on each side and just gave it a little push to even it out and it seemed to work. I know if my husband was here trying to put them together, he'd be complaining about how cheap they are made and I get what I paid for. Yes, they are cheaply made, but I love a bargain. They are going in the bedroom, so it's not like there is going to be a lot of traffic in there. The picture does look very classy/elegant, but trust me, it's definitely not the same. I would recommend them if you have a spare bedroom and don't want to pay a lot, for a college dorm or a room that you really don't want to impress anyone with. If you bought them, I hope you like them. I just have to say mezza mezza (I'm not Italian, I just like the saying.)Updated my review to a 5 because the company reached out to me regarding the bases of the lamps and sent replacement lamps. Thank you very much and it is greatly appreciated. When a company like this reaches out and is very kind, they are very reputable. Easy to put together and they even came with Light Bulbs. At first I wasn't to sure, did not realize these were touch lamps. Supe nice, love the style and look. The USB on each other Bonus!!! Cord on lamps is just the right length. Purchased for my office and they look Great!!! The Lamp shades are nice and love the color, nice shade of gray.

I love these lamps. perfectly sized for those with taller nightstand where a tall lamp is just too much. I love the touch control which has 3 levels of lighting and the USB outlets are super convenient. assembly wasn't any trouble and they look great!

The base is very light weight, which makes them easy to knock over. The touch base sometimes takes a couple of taps before they turn on or go to the next brightness level. Looks and feels cheap.
