I have used these clamps for several projects, and while they work pretty well when the clamp is wide open, they aren't great for smaller trusses.Notes-- Machined aluminum tunnels allow these clamps to be both very strong and lightweight.- The screw clamp only works so-so... if you don't need to clamp down much they will work very well, but for smaller sizes they can be pretty frustrating.- Works well for clamping stage lights and other fixtures that need to be secured.

I wish I could rate these higher. They're fine on the upper end of the range. For clamping up a lightweight lighting instrument they'd be fine, and I'd trust them (with safeties, of course) on even heavier loads like speakers.However, they're only really good towards the 2"-2.36:" end of their range. When you start approaching 1.75 inches or less, the geometry is just not good for that.So, I can give them an average rating. On the upper end of their range, they'll work as rated. On the lower end...probably look elsewhere.

These are going to be great. They'll hold any one of my lights without any fear of detaching or moving. Definitely beefier than I expected.Better than other clamps I have used. Will need to get more.
