Great lights, and bright! Use a dimmer and 3000K for perfect lightGreat lights, and bright! Use a...

We were tasked with installing these lights into an existing deck where the homeowners could not see well at night walking up their steps. We installed 12 of them in the step risers and wired them up. After trying them out at night on 4000K setting, we figured out that 4000K was too bright. We changed them to 3000K and put them on a dimmer. The homeowner has found their sweet spot where they glow at just the right amount of light and warm light temperature. I give these a 5 star rating because they do what they say they can do, they are dimmable, we needed a dark neutral color that they had, and they are cheap and work great so far 1 month in. One tip I would give to a potential buyer/installer is that these lights are hard to snap into a single gang box that has not been cut out for properly in a retrofit situation. New construction would be no problem, but on a retrofit, make sure you cut out your single gang box large enough to fit your Jbox into without haveing to squeeze these into them. These lights simply push into the box onto a metal frame that snaps them into place. You can easily pull them back out to make adjustments, but some were hard to get back to snap into place. Make sure you choose the correct color temperature up front so you dont have to take the fixtures out at all is my opinion. 3000K was very good light, and the dimmer was the icing on the cake.

Pretty and good value upgrade to any home with drop down den or outside steps

[Size: 4-Pack, 120V Line Voltage]
I install these on all my properties that have a drop down den area - safety first - put in a dual to dawn eye outside and works great

Looks great - but takes some effort to get installed

[Size: 4-Pack, 120V Line Voltage]
The final product looks very good and I would buy them again. However, the installation ran into two snags:1. The screws that came with the product had a different thread than my existing light boxes and were much too long. I went to HomeDepot and purchased 3/8-inch machine screws that fit. (Note that this could due to my house being 24 years old, but also note these are primarily replacement lamps.)2. The final product does not easily snap into the mounting frame. I had to use a hammer (not directly, but against a block of wood with a packing pad against the frame) to get it in.
