My house office is in a corner of the great room. I needed more light over there for the sake of the lighting of the overall large room. This works great. It illuminates the not only the desk but also extends just far enough out from there to help illuminate that corner. It was packed extremely well and has a substantial heft; it does not wobble (or move at all) when either of the pull chains are used. Fit and finish are completely in line with the price. Strongly recommended.
