I bought two of these for my Hobby room. They were easy to install and not very heavy. The light color and intensity are adjustable which is very convenient. Seem to be constructed of high quality materials. Recommended!

Absolutely love this light! You can set both the brightness and the color (wavelength) to your personal liking, and then add a dimmer to adjust down the brightness to suit your tastes. I like the 3000K color which is more like an incandescent light, and in the evening I dim it down to be a bit easier on the eyes. Make sure you double check the width if you are replacing an existing fixture - this one is wider than many, but I like that too!

Anyone who has struggled with two-pin fluorescent light fixtures and their expensive tubes and ballasts will love this light fixture. Contrary to earlier reviews, instructions were included. Installation is straight-forward. I agree with earlier reviews, that the diffuser was difficult to remove and reinstall.Some reviewers commented that the dimension of mounting holes and the screws provided don’t fit a standard junction box. Although the fixture is manufactured in Malaysia by Acuity Brands Lighting, it is certified to US and Canadian standards (CSA certified). I don’t know if that certification assures that the screws and mounting holes are standard (SAE).Three different lumen levels and three different colors? There are no bulbs in the fixture. Instead, there are 160 LEDs mounted in four strips. 80 LEDs emit 3000K warm light and 80 LEDs emit 5000K daylight. The color and intensity selector switches simply select one or both colors. I found for an average 8-foot ceiling, the dimmest selection provides plenty of light. The diffuser spreads the light well without any shadows at the counter. Note: Dimming is only possible providing two additional wires, connected to the pink and purple wires, can be drawn from the unit to the wall switch and connected to a compatible low-voltage dimmer.

Needed something not to expensive and really bright to replace older aging lights in an unfinished basement were the wife's washer and dryer is. These were a perfect choice. The lights have two switches for configuring the lights brightness/tone. In our case we wanted white light at full brightness. Not disappointed in any way just hang the lights as high as possible for better light dispersion. One caution, be careful removing and replacing the diffuser cover when wiring the lights for two good reasons. First, they're tight and not removed easily. It is possible the cover could be broken in the process trying to pry it from the fixture. If not handled properly it might also be easy to drop the cover when trying to pry it loose breaking the cover. Go slow and keep a good grip on it. When putting them back on, again their a tight fit, they can pinch fingers and be hard to handle. Be sure before letting go of the cover its attached on each side properly so it doesn't fall off accidentally. Since their LED lights you'll probably only need to remove the diffuser one time to wire the light and that will be that. Another issue noted was the wire tray (the space under the wire cover inside the light) is small due to the rounded cover, if square shaped it would have had more space. Don't try to use the wire channel as a junction box. If hanging a single light install an overhead light box with a single romex wire going into the light and the switch leg wired either from the overhead box or the switch box to minimize the wires inside the lights wire channel. If hanging more than a single light like I did (three lights total) I used the overhead box on the first light then link to the next and so on. That's two romex wires inside each light's wire channel (one in/one out) which made wiring easy. We now have nice bright lights in the basement, just like a sunny day at the beach.

My 46 year old four bulb, 4-ft fluorescent fixture occasionally blinked and T12 replacement bulbs are different now. This fixture’s buttons let you choose brightness equivalent to two, two and a half, or three fluorescent bulbs and also choose from different color temperatures. Because of its diffuser (the plastic cover), on low set to 3000k color temperature it still seems brighter than my old fixture and it’s fantastic to have the color choices for the kitchen. Sometimes I wish I could turn it down more. I have considered buying a $10 10V dimmer on Amazon to stick inside the case to tone it down more. Hard to believe it only uses 50-60 watts.After I bought this one I was at Home Depot and saw the dozens of LED lights they sell. About 5 are this size and shape. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this one again, and it’s also less expensive than the others.

Bought two (to keep one as a back-up)…as it seems the entire fixture needs to be replaced when it dies — as opposed to simply changing bulbs/ballast.Of course, the existing fluorescent fixture in our kitchen has been discontinued. So began our search for one that would offer enough light under which to work/see, match our aesthetic, AND cover-up the footprint of the old (i.e. markings on the ceiling).We looked on HD/Lowes’ sites first, and nothing there would cover the area of the old fixture, appealed to us, was decently-priced, or had good reviews. 😞Thankfully, Amazon came through. This light is beyond bright! It blends into the white (popcorn) ceiling perfectly. Its base is large enough to cover where the old fixture was. The customizable options — for both brightness and color adjustments of light output — are wonderful to have. Although not fancy/decorative (with stainless accents or even a less-utilitarian cover) we are very pleased with this purchase. It’s simple, barely discernible on the ceiling, and does its job perfectly…providing a LOT of light.As with all overhead, flush-mount ceiling fixtures, countertop work is shadowed by standing between the light source and work areas. However, we had installed under-cabinet LEDs as well, long ago, to circumvent this with our old fixture. But, turning THIS baby on before walking into the kitchen allows you to see EVERYTHING so well (every flaw in the the wooden cabinetry, every speck of dust, every crumb that’s hit the floor, every fingerprint on the stainless appliances…all of it! Be warned. lol).Installation took sone time as the bolt pattern is different than the old fixture we were replacing. The cardboard box came in handy to make a template for the new mounting hardware required. [Embarrassingly, it was about 3 hours from start to finish (we’re NOT electricians/carpenters) and there were a LOT of trips up/down the step ladder!]. The wiring was the easiest part of the whole ordeal. Of course, there was drywall dust and popcorn specks on everything, too, that needed to be cleaned-up. Thankfully, the spare fixture will just need to be bolted-/wired-in NEXT TIME.
