Our old fence was gross and falling apart. We finally got a new one (along with some landscaping) so it was definitely time to get the light situation improved.These lights are, like all Govee products I've used, easy to install and configure in the app. I will state though - and this is the reason for the 1-star drop: The way these are pre-wired is assuming that the power source is on the left-side of where you will start the run. My power source was on the right, so I had to (per govee's instructions) wrap/cross the wires around the top of each light housing. This was incredibly annoying, and resulted in a non-symmetrical installation. If you look in the photo, along the top of the fence, you can see where some wire dangles lower than others. They apply via 3M tape and/or screws, so while it won't be difficult to adjust, I would have rather been able to get it right the first time.Overall though, these are bright (but not too bright, which is good because they are really more for accent lighting), can change colors and do all the fun party tricks, etc. I am more than happy with these so far!

I didn't want to spend the money on one of Govee's expensive permanent lighting systems, so I decided to try these instead. I bought the 12-light set, and I'm very happy with my purchase. The lights are extremely bright, the quality is excellent, and the design looks great. Installation took about 2 hours, but it wasn't difficult and the end result was worth it.I also got them during Prime Day, which made the value even better. So far, I love them and would definitely recommend them. Hopefully they'll continue to hold up for many years! Oo

With so many mixed reviews, I was hesitant to purchase these lights, but after installing them a week ago, I’m glad I did. Mounting the brackets into brick was straightforward - just a bit time-consuming - and each light fit perfectly once the brackets were in place. I secured the cables to the brick using heavy-duty adhesive cable clips I’ve used before, and they worked just as well this time.Connecting the lights to my Wi-Fi through the app was incredibly easy. I already had the Govee app and an account because I own other products, but you will need an account to unlock the full features. In my opinion, it’s absolutely worth it.Although it hasn’t rained yet, the lights appear to be well-sealed, and I placed the on/off switch and electrical plug inside waterproof boxes for extra protection.The brightness is impressive - almost shockingly so at 100% on the white setting. I actually lowered mine to 50%, and it still provides more than enough illumination. It’s like daylight on the side of my house, which is a huge improvement from the pitch-black darkness before. The colored and scene modes are a bit less intense, but still look great.Overall, I love how these lights add a decorative wash to my home while delivering the much-needed brightness for my yard. They’ve exceeded my expectations so far.

I will say for being outside for almost a year I am quite impressed on how these lights have held up. Build quality seems to hold up, the light output and color rendition is right on and the fact that I can see these on my home assistant instance makes these worth it. The app took some getting used to but once I figured out how it works I was able to achieve my goal. The only limitation is the automations portions, needs a little bit more work on conditional statements and the ability to add those statements to conditions. For example have the lights run this scene at a set time but when motion is detected by their motion sensor run this scene and when motion expires say after 5 min run scene set originally. But that’s the app not this product which is why I give the product 5 stars. Had an issue with the power adapter going bad but Govee support took care of it quite fast. I am impressed. Will buy more! Picture is with lights at 5% brightness, providing a nice ambient glow. Had fun with them during the holidays.

These are excellent! Easy to use on your phone with an app that is simply amazing with all the potential color combinations! Excellent instructions included and if you get stuck, contacting Govee customer support is easy and they answer quickly! The lights are well made and very easy to install and the ambience they produce is magnificent!

These lights are awesome! I have always been a fan of the various Govee products. I received my initial set as a gift. It took some time to figure where to install them as I do not have a deck - but I managed to mount them on the top of an iron fence with a bunch of zip ties! The lights add a nice ambience around the fence line of our backyard. After the first set I bought another set to extend where the lights can reach. I love all of the options the app allows. Note that as you extend the number of strands connected, there is a setting in the app to extend the number of strands connected.
