I order this swag, it’s gold inside and the normal white light just didn’t do anything for it. These Edison bulbs play wellWith the gold inside the shade and made the project perfect.

I have a two-light retro table lamp with a max rating of 60 watts per bulb, but when using 60W incandescent bulbs I was always concerned about the amount of heat they'd produce. This lamp normally sits on a small bookshelf and is used for accent lighting in my living room, but i also move it to a couple of different locations & connect it to one of my 3 mechanical timers (I know, those are super old-school now), so that I can have lights turning on & off while I'm gone for the weekend. However, due to concerns about how hot the lamp would get, I eventually stopped using it for that (or any) purpose.Now that the LED revolution is basically complete, I decided to try using this lamp again. These two Owilukie 4-watt bulbs seemed like a great fit for this lamp, and since receiving them I have indeed been able to turn-on this lamp for hours at a time, with the new bulbs barely even getting warm.At 40W equivalence and 300 lumen per bulb, these still put-out a good amount of light (unlike the lower wattage incandescent bulbs I'd tried in it, before I finally just stuck this lamp in a closet of things that I planned to eventually yard sale). At only 2200 K the lighting is very warm, but that's perfect for my accent lighting needs. The amber tinting is much more subtle than other tinted bulbs I've owned, so they're still bright enough. They are glass bulbs (as opposed to plastic bulbs, which I try to avoid). My desk lamp doesn't dim, but I tested these bulbs in a bathroom can light, and their dimming capacity was on par with any of my other quality LED bulbs. Finally, being LED they are way more energy efficient (and don't get hot). Putting all of these attributes together, giving these Edisons a top rating was a pretty easy decision!Lastly, these are a bit expensive at 8 dollars per bulb, but they'd possibly cost at least 10 each at your local hardware store (IF you could even find them) and maybe even more than that at a specialty lighting store. Shop around if you need more than 2 of them, since there are 6-8 packs of similar bulbs that you can very possibly purchase at around the 4-5 dollar (per bulb) price point.

I wanted an Edison bulb that will provide both a warm, white color to my steampunk light fixture that sits atop of my toolbox in the garage. The vintage amber design with its unique spiraling filament alongside the ideal color temperature, truly accentuates the toolbox and the items that are on the wall and shelf. The light also provides a 360° coverage which brightens the corner. The bulb fits nicely within the enclosed metal cage and is trouble-free to install from the bottom without obstructions. The light does not produce any disturbing, extraordinary brightness but rather a subdued calming effect. I am in the process of building a robot pipe lamp which I will certainly use the “Owilukie” for this project. I am extremely satisfied with this. If you are looking for a non-glare warm light for your indoor lighting decoration, you can surely consider this.

I love these Edison bulbs! I've always loved Edison bulbs, but the LED nature takes them over the top, as it vastly improves the energy efficiency. I was really pleased with the gentle tone of these-- these aren't good for really bright work, as they are low lumen and very warm tone, but this is much my preference for morning and evening light. Much better for my circadian rhythm and gentle on my morning/evening eyes. The shape of these bulbs is great and interesting, especially for fixtures with the bulb fully exposed. The dimmer worked as expected. They didn't fit in the fixture I had originally gotten them for (because of the caged shade), but that was my fault. Fortunately, they will fit perfectly in another unshaded fixture of mine-- so just be sure to measure to ensure it will fit, depending on your fixture!

5.19.24~ Ok people next time I order an open space lamp~ Stop me.Love this shade free, black iron orb with bars. Really is decor.But finding a bulb is a challenge. Biggest understatement.Orb balls won't fit between bars. Regular bulbs? too bright & looks tacky.This low light, amber led is perfect.The oblong shape with the dull point compliments the orb like its made for it.* Worth noting~Says dimmable and maybe it is if you have wall dimmer.My "dimmer" is built into wire of lamp. Every click increases light.The dim feature does not work. Just 40 watt bright enough to illuminate a dark home.Bonus for me was the 2nd bulb.Replaced the vanity bulb I bought for the orb & put in bedroom.It's too bright so tried out this lil guy. Perfect. Again not 3 click adjustable/Will absolutely pick these up in 2 pk on regular basis without the dim.Such a cool bulb. The edison(tesla) makes it look bright but the wattage is cool.

The Spiral Internal Element on this light bulb is by far the most artistic of all LED bulbs. In my mind it even beats out the original Edison, for looks and even warmth.It is almost hard to remember when LED bulbs first came out, and they were all 4000K or higher, just an extremely cold and jarring look. They have come so incredibly far to get to what them bulb has to offer.The 2200k of this LED is most like what one gets when taking a 2700K incandescent bulb and dimming it for a nice romantic setting!(Note that when an LED bulb is dimmed the light color "K" does not change. While an Incandescent bulb color changes as it is dimmed, it gets a much warmer color, so if you want a warm color for a romantic setting you have to buy a very warm bulb. A 2700k Incandescent bulb becomes a 2200k bulb when dimmed while a 2700k LED is still 2700k when it is dimmed.)So the bottom line for this bulb is a very nice looking bulb that is the same warm color throughout it's range of dimming!

I have a couple lamps that are meant to look like they are from an earlier time. One is a fake mica shade on a gooseneck and the other is a stained glass shade emulating an old Tiffany lamp. Neither are real, I’m cheap. These lamps deserve something more interesting than the standard four straight LED style Edison bulbs. I have other spiral filament LEDs, but they are quite pricey, and I wanted to spend less right now. Enter these!The bulbs are a standard pear shape you see with Edison bulbs and have a standard lightbulb base you likely have in all your rooms. Not only do they have a spiral filament, they also have a bit of material at the base emulating the glass insulator you find in old bulbs. Super cool.They put out plenty of warm light and are fairly cool to the touch. Everything is good so far.Here is the best part: I got two for less than the price of one of another brand I have purchased. Score!

Very nice 👍🏼 ornate fixture in a lightly amber glass envelope that showcases the LED filament. I attached several ON - OFF picts that show the appearance of the bulb at daytime vs nighttime. It appears to be a flexible COG type filament that kind of mimics a tungsten filament but at 10x the efficiency. I measured just under 3 watt power draw at full power.My measured color temp is just a hint below the advertised 2200 K so that is probably a good number and is a very warm / comfortable rendering of a dimmed incandescent bulb 🕯️These types of spiral filament bulbs are much more attractive than linear versions if you are showcasing the bulb in a clear or open fixture. If you are just concerned with light output, save some money and get a less decorative unit 💵 This type of reversing spiral element can also be found with tubular, globular, and candle shaped envelops to accent your fixture so keep the shape in mind. Same shape and size element in a different glass envelop. The ST designation is accurate for this shape.If you dim it and look at the filament you can see the individual LED’s but otherwise this tech looks like a fat tungsten wire. If you look closely, the tech and manufacturing is really quite amazing. I still find it kind of shocking that even with this level of technology, people still like something that looks like the 150 year old Edison bulbs 🧐
