Worked as expected. Easy to install. They are holding up. The price is better than the local hardware stores. The style is hard to find locally.

The overall unit worked fine and I was able to replace the old unit completely.The issue was that the on/off selector knob was not long enough to extend past the lamp housing. I used the old knob.

It would have worked if my lamp didn’t have a built in one. I did not know that. So this product would have worked. So it was my lamps fault. I ended up throwing out the lamp and returning this. This is easy to use and easy to assemble

Was looking for a socket for a specific lamp shade ring of 1.25" diameter. This one shows a diameter that should work but that measure is between two flat surfaces on the threaded inner ring. Better be a good bit over on the diameter of your lamp shade ring; my ring at 1. 25" would not fit this socket. I can say that it appeared to be a quality part, and I'd have happily used it if the shade would have fit.

This was a two person project for us but the enclosed instructions were easy to follow and ... it worked! Inexpensive way to save a favorite lamp.
