So far we loved it! Easy to install. Well made, good quality and great design.

Installation was difficult because fitting the black and white electrical wires was not clear where once they are capped, they are supposed to go. I finally figured out that they don’t go in the unit, but they go in the metal fire power box mounting kit. Once I finally was able to connect everything and mount the unit it is stable and secure and looks really good. I removed a second star because the app simply does not work. It does not connect to the light at all. I downloaded the smart app and you are supposed to hold the button on the remote control, but they don’t tell you what button I assume assumed they meant the Circle K button in the middle of the remote. That pairing doesn’t work and holding down the button in the app, as suggested by the app also does not work. So I will just use the remote because that works just fine. This unit does the job and looks good, but it is pretty basic when it comes to lighting options. You can’t use multiple colors just three shades of white. There are more modern units that allow for the full RGB spectrum and are priced better as this one is also quite expensive. I will say that the wood quality and light quality is very high looks really nice but all in all I think it’s a bit overpriced and limited but for our purposes, it does the job so I will keep it.

EXACTLY what I needed! I was sceptical at first but it's a beauty. Comes with a remote to control color and light brightness but I never use itI just flip the wall light switch off and on and it cycles through the 3 bright colors and then on the 4th it's dimmed of the 3 colors. Was not expecting that! I have a long dinning room table and it's perfect. Highly recommend two man job to do right.

Such a great light! Sleek and simple. For reference: table is 84”, light is 59” Took some ingenuity to get it perfectly level, but love the final presentation. Has many settings for your lighting preferences although it could be a little brighter for my taste

Replaced a hanging light in our dining room with this. It was easy to mount. The instructions (though not needed) were clear, and the brightness is OK. (We had a fixture with six 60-watt bulbs in it before, so being a bit dimmer was to be expected.) You can use the remote or just flip the wall switch to change the color temp, so that is a nice feature. We really like the light and for the cost, you can't beat it.

This is a clean, modern design light that is dimmable and can also be set to your desired color temperature. It's easy to set the modes using the supplied remote control and after getting a link to the correct App from YisDesign support I've been able to control it from my phone. (The QR code on the included remote instructions didn't get me to anything. It linked to a non-working unknown IP address, not a domain name, so it seemed fishy). The Android app is available on the Google Play Store under the name LampSmart Pro. To add the light, click on the + symbol in the app and after naming your new light, click on the middle-right button (with the Bluetooth symbol beneath the concentric circles) within 15 seconds of powering on your light. The light will blink and should then be controllable from the app.I did have a difficult time getting all the excess wire in the ceiling canopy. I'd like to see something to secure the excess wire to within the canopy, but this is a one-time thing so it's not really that important. To set the hanging height, just tighten the plastic thumb screws just enough to securely grab the coating on the cable. Don't try to snug it down too much.I have mine installed with a switch that is controlled by Home Assistant so when turning off and on, the lamp does restore to the last used brightness and color temperature. After it's on, at this point I have to control it from the remote or the separate phone app. I haven't yet found a way to control it via Home Assistant directly, but since it operates off of Bluetooth, it should be possible.

If you are a seasoned diy-er, this light will be great! Installation is pretty straightforward, and based on some other reviews they have made updates to the mounting bracket. In other reviews it showed spot welds that made it difficult to mount to an existing electrical box and align the light so it hung in a specific orientation. I received a package that had screw mounts so it was easy enough to adjust for that (unnecessary in my case, since mine was an addition and not a fixture change.Pros:Comes with everything you need to make it work. (Minus tools of course and the electrical wiring/breaker/box if you are doing a new install) The wires are a bit long if you are mounting it high with less exposed wires but there is plenty of room in the ceiling mount to spool up the excess. I love the adjustable color and brightness settings. Makes it super nice for adjusting a dining table from schoolwork, to eating food, or just to have a night light when the day is done. The remote seems sturdy and while it’s not the highest quality plastic (glass fiber reinforced, abs, etc) it definitely seems like it will survive a drop on a hardwood floor and the battery compartment cover won’t break from simply changing out batteries. It’s really lightweight which is great, since the suspension cords are also what control the light. Yes, if you stare directly into the lights, it is a bit like an office light. I can’t really complain about that because it’s exactly what I wanted. A light over my table that could be bright and clear enough for my kid to build legos or do homework and one that could also dim and warm when we set down for dinner. It excels at multifunctional lighting on a multifunctional working surface.Cons:I think for the $150+ price point, they should have included a wall mount for the remote. Not a huge issue since you can get magnet mounts cheap but it’s nice to have a form fit mount when you’re spending over a c-note.You will need to be super creative or have a set of helping hands when installing this. It’s weird and clunky and awkward to adjust and level without risk of damaging the finish or your table or whatever is below it. Don’t get me wrong, it can be done, it’s just super stressful when the cords are flailing about and your trying desperately not to have a suspended 4foot stick bang against something that could be regrettable.
