These are beautiful antique brass gold. Very modern.

At $160 for one of these, this is one of the more expensive I've seen of the style (and I do have several). That said, this has longer, nicer looking shades, and in general has a bit of a higher-end look. These are as easy to install as any other light fixture, which is to say in my case that someone else is compensated to make that happen. I don't mess around with things that could burn my house down if I mess them up. (To prevent my own mistakes - I don't see any issues with the fixture itself.) This is hard-wired, not battery, and it works fine. Only time will tell how durable it is and if it lasts, but it seems, again, well made and unlikely to fail as a result of poor construction.

Due to different building projects I have been involved in, I have seen countless lighting products. The sconce looks and feels like a quality lighting fixture. It is heavier, and the metal looks and feels more substantial. The gold color is a more brassy gold. It looks more expensive. (There are dozens of shades of gold when it comes to lighting fixtures-from very light to green-ish tones, to intense yellow.) This is not a small fixture- it would need to go into a larger, more spacious space. I would recommend paying attention to the size of the light. I would have liked for the glass to be slightly thicker, even if just by a few mm, but that is a personal preference.
