Nice lights, really like the options being on a remote rather than tied to your phone. One problem though, and you can see it in a lot of reviews. My remote was not working, but I found out the reason why and I bet it's why so many other remotes aren't working. The remote came with a cr2025 battery installed, but it needs a cr2032 to work. The cr2025 is the same diameter as the cr2032, but not as thick, this was not giving it a connection. Using a multimeter I checked the voltage of the cr2025 it came with, it has a full charge at 3.3v, so this is not a dead battery issue, but the wrong battery issue. If you buy this product, make sure to have a cr2032 on hand.

Very nice bukbs with a nice range of color and dimming settings. I mostly bought these for when regular bulbs are too much for my migraines and they seem to be working well for that.I had an issue where the remote wasn't working when I oulled out the plastic piece, but removing the battery catridge and then putting it back in fixed that. The only other issue so far is that some buttons on the remote affect my Vizio tv, so be aware that turning on a yellow light might turn on Netflix too. "Hiding" the remote behind something so it wasn't pointed at the tv fixed that problem but it's a bit annoying.

I've been using versions of these lights for several years now. The price per bulb isn't that far off of cheap led bulbs and the ir remote works great to control multiple lamps in the same room at the same time.I don't like smart bulbs. While it's convenient to be able to use a phone to control the lighting I didn't want IoT devices on my network so I prefer the remotes to connectivity. This is safer from a network security standpoint.As I said, I've been using these for years. Not a single bulb has burned out or malfunctioned and we use them daily.The built in color temp and dimmer options are great. I just bought 4 more 2 packs to upgrade some dumb (eg, no dimming) features through the house.

I ordered another set bulbs for some elderly family members for a set of lights that don’t have a switch. They’d have to climb a small, 3 step ladder to turn the bulbs into the on position. But due to their health, are unable to make the climb anymore. Those bulbs didn’t connect to the electric power of the house. They worked only after charging. The remote was also “hit-or-miss” and therefore unreliable. The size of the remote was also quite small compared with the GE bulbs. These GE bulbs on the other hand work on the home’s electrical power, the remote is larger, solid and clearly marked. It was also easy to explain how to operate to elders who have a difficult time with technology some times. The remote works at distances across the room and from different angles. Though it’s not necessary for this application, the color changing option is a bonus. For the intended purpose these bulbs were bought, they are perfect and very happy with them. Also, these bulbs are about the same price for the subpar bulbs bought before. We will probably purchase more for lights downstairs to save them a trip. And for people who are caregivers, stairs can be hazardous for some people they help. Which brings me more peace of mind.

These are pretty cool. What I really like is the color changes. You do not need wifi or a smart phone. There is an included remote, and it works well in the living room between the two lamps. I point at one and that lamp reacts, then I point at the other, and it reacts. If you have your lamps close by tho, I can see both of them reacting at the same time. As for the color change, I flip-flop all the time on if I like the natural daylight (bright blueish) or soft white (yellowish incandescent color many of us used to know) Sometimes I like the daylight when working or cleaning but love the soft light for relaxing evening moments. Now I can switch between either with a push of a button. No need to commit to buying one or the other kinds of bulbs anymore! Wait there's more! I can dim them too, 70% 40% and 10% all at the touch of a button while laying on the couch. Then there is the actual colors, Red, Pink, Orange, Yellow, Green, Teal, Blue, and Purple. These you can not dim, but these are fun for mood lighting or decorating for holidays like Christmas Red & Green, 4th of July, Red, White & Blue, Halloween Orange & Purple. Valentines, Pink & Purple. St Patrick's go green! These seem like a lot of fun.
