You wouldn't think you would ever need to replace a lamp socket, but it happens. This fit my old lamp without any real issues. Wiring was simple, and the switch works crisply and perfectly. Don't toss that old lamp when this makes an easy repair for a non functioning switch.

These work great. This is the second one I've purchased to replace lamp sockets that no longer worked. They are easy to wire up and install. It's such a relief to be able to easily turn on the lamp again!

The carboard piece was loose when I opened the package. Not a huge deal, but the fact that the switch rotates from off to off is a real issue! to be clear, as you rotate the switch, the light comes on at about a 90 degree rotation (there is not a strong stoppage point there-Actually, there is almost no stoppage point for the on position) but then shuts off as you continue to rotate to the 180 degree stopping point. So basically, you have to relearn how to turn your lamp on and stop rotation when the light turns on. It does stay there, but WHY must it be designed that way? The human race has been making these lamps the same way for 70 years!
