This set of deck lights is small, well-built, and gives you many choices to light up your deck or outdoor living spaces. The bodies of the lights are a thick-feeling plastic with metal retaining clips and decorative metal rings. The power unit gives you the options of dusk-to-dawn or setting the lights on a timer, and the controls are easy to figure out without a set of instructions. The lighting is very warm toned, and can be set at three different brightnesses. The connectors fit snugly and screw together for longevity. We're pleased with this set!

These deck lights look amazing around my wrap-around porch. I installed them into the top rail (in our case, a 2x4 with rounded edges and stained) on our 1800s Victorian farmhouse. I took a hole boring bit of the same diameter as the inset base of the lights, and recessed them into the underside of said top plate. I then hit the wiring between lights and tied them all into the transformer nearest to one of our outdoor receptacles and merely plugged the unit it. The D2D feature and light-level adjustability made dialing it into how we wanted the lights to appear/affect the space was a breeze. I couldn't be happier with the install and final look of having a couple of lights between each banister post (about every 4 or 5 balustrades). Super cozy and inviting. Very pleased and therefore, highly recommended.

We love lighting—indoors and out. I was excited to replace some solar lights we have with these. And they look great. Dimmer options. Can go on a timer or photo cell. Love that. Auto on at dusk is convenient. The lights themselves are smaller than I thought they would be, but I’m not disappointed. They look good. Easy to setup and easy to use. I appreciate that these plug in and do not need to be hardwired like many landscape or deck lighting options.

I was thinking about adding some lighting to my screened porch and small deck. These lights fit the bill. Drilling 1" holes 36" on center seemed about right, but my inch-thick decking caused me to rethink spacing for 34" to ensure easy connections. I tested the light indoors to ensure all worked and then set about installing the lights and transformer. I particularly like the options available on the transformer, such as the light sensor, timer and dimmer. The photocell sensor turns on the lights automatically at dusk, and can be set for turnoff after a fixed period of time. The memory function on the included transformer. recalls my settings.The added extension is perfect for transitioning from inside the porch to outside onto the deck.
