Wow oh wow. Look, we live in the country. Just moved and had changed the porch lights and garage lights to pretty ones. I of course thought I was still in the burbs and got nice bright chandelier lights bright white. Oh. My. God. It was a killing field outside my front door every morning. Literally bugs stacked high on the ground and in the groove of the lights. Bugs I have never seen before. Spots all over my glass door where bugs flew right into it. So I did a little research and found they can’t see amber. Or at least not as much. I’m telling you these fixed the problem! There is maybe 1% of the dead bugs maybe even 0.5%! I can’t be happier. Also they would be just stuck all over the side of the house by the garage in the morning by those lights. Not anymore. No bugs! And they are pretty. You are not sacrificing anything in the looks or lighting. They are even pretty unlit. Best purchase ever!!! Only picture I have is of the light fixture not piled high with bugs. But you can see the lights are pretty.

We use these in our outside lanterns. They don't flicker like others but they do have a very rich amber glow to them which is the effect we wanted.

Low lighting. I have these in the bathtub chandelier. Helps me relax after long day /hard workout tub soak.

These are specialty bulbs, so far over on the yellow side they are close to the color of candlelight.They work very well in my outside fixtures, because I have a very traditional looking house. So if you are going for like a very traditional, colonial look, or like a french chateau look, these definitely have that vibe. They are LED bulbs so the candle effect isn't quite right, but it is close enough to more than get by. Inside you might be able to use them as accent lights in like a dining room. But do not expect these to work well as general lights - they are too yellow for that.

These work fine, but there are two things I was disappointed about.First, they don't flicker in any way. Not sure why I thought they would, but they don't. If you don't need flickering, that's not a problem for you.Second, they're orange. Not just the difference between daylight and tungsten...they're orange. Again, if you don't mind, that's fine. But if you're looking for a 3200K tungsten, these are not that. They're probably closer to 2600 or 2700K than 3200, which doesn't sound like much, but it is. They're really orange.So, no real reason to give these anything less than five stars. They came securely packaged, they worked when I screwed them in. Just a couple of things I wish were different, but they're subjective complaints, so it's not fair to knock the stars down because of that.
