We live in Michigan with a finished basement, at the time that we finished it we did can lighting everywhere and I have to say the lighting down there was TERRIBLE!!! It was always too many lights or not enough and for whatever reason always gave me a headache. We love to be down there, it's like a cozy little den with a game table. Problem is I couldn't even see the cards due to the terrible lighting.Decided to change up all of our lighting but didn't want to get into a big huge project...didn't know something like this existed but so happy I found it! This light is perfect!!Installation couldn't have been easier, we bought a plug adapter that screwed into one of the can light sockets and just plugged it in...that's it!! No tools, no nonsense. The basement has open rafters so we just secured the wire to the ceiling and had it come down in the corner. Easy peasy!!I'm big on lighting and everyone who comes to my house knows it, and yet the basement was terrible. Not any more, it's a great mood lighting that also makes it easier to see down there. I plan on buying another one for another corner of the room.

Put it in a corner, looks good and lights up that corner, great value for the money

Simple installation. We got a pair to hang off the ceiling on top of the sofa to brighten up the area. It works out quite well and love the look of them. Has a chic simple almost rustic look.The only thing I'd love to see as a variation is if it can come with a remote - but not a must.
