Solar Fountain for Bird Bath

Works reasonably well, but is a bit flimsy and doesn’t last. But I get one season use out of it so that’s okay.

This bird bath has 3.5 wattage. It is so much more efficient and powerful and reliable than the cheaper units that are only 1.5 to 2.5 Watts. I highly recommend this and I am totally satisfied with it. And my birds love it

It must be in direct sunlight completely to function. When it’s running, it’s cute and attractive, but if a shadow passes over it, it instantaneously stops. That could be prevented with a capacitor or a battery, but they didn’t opt to add one. The multiple nozzles are a nice feature - they all work and work differently.

Going on my second year with it. At first it really wasn't working after being stored away. I left it out in the full sunlight for a few hours - out of the birdbath. That was just enough to re-kick start it! Birds and squirrels love it. Love the different fountains that come with it.

I love this product. The fountain is easy to set up and when it's running it puts out a beautiful spray.However, it appears to me that the water should recycle and not run out so fast. I set the fountain in a smaller pot in the middle of my planter. When I fill it with water it runs beautifully. Once the water runs out, it just sets and whines for more water. Again, why doesn't the water recycle through, it just disappears.

Quick and simple to set up. Instructions are clear and concise. It took all of two minutes to ready the fountain to place in my bird bath. My biggest issue was deciding which sprayer nozzle to use!The pump is quiet. It does not scare the birds. I actually think they like the spray as I've seen several take advantage of the water "shower" one nozzle creates. Only concern is the pump runs as long as it gets sunlight. It does not shut off if the bird bath is empty of water. I do not think that is good for the pump long term. To date mine has ran dry at least three times but in each instance it restarted as soon as I added water. I plan to remove it from the bath completely when I'm not at home to monitor water supply.

First one stopped working after an hour and company did replace it. However, the second one lasted a little over two weeks and am not going to replace it. Had several others over the years and previous ones worked much better. NOW UPDATED - it started working again after being allowed to dry out. Seller offered a refund but am happy that it's working again.

This solar bird bath fountain is working great. My birdbath is fairly shallow but there's still plenty of room for the fountain. There are several nozzles to choose from depending on how high/wide you want the water to come out. I really just wanted a sort of 'bubbler' type action which none of the nozzles did however, we used just the adapter and it's working just like I wanted. Rather than shooting up into the air it just sort of bubbles up and out of the adapter.If you're looking for something that operates even on very cloudy days, don't buy this one. It runs totally off sunlight. There is no battery storage so when there's no sun the fountain doesn't work. It might still work in light shade but definitely not heavy shade. My birdbath is in full sun most of the day so that's not an issue.Just don't let the birdbath go dry!
