MODERN OUTDOOR WALL SCONCE:OVERVIEW: This is a modern style lamp that can be used indoors or out although it is designed for outdoors.In short this is an “up” and “down” shining lamp with a metal body and includes its own LED emitters. The light is dimmable if you have a dimmer. You cannot change the color temperature. What sets this light apart is the large “outline” design and higher quality.THE DETAILS: This light shines up and down mostly so it could light up the sky. Look up “Dark Sky International” and “International Dark Sky Week” on the Wikipedia, and you can learn more about the importance of avoiding creating light pollution at night. The light is fairly nice at NOT shining bright light in yours eyes as it has diffusers. This lamp is not intended to be installed in the horizontal position or as a ceiling lamp outdoors. It does not have a dusk to dawn photo sensor. The thermal imager showed the lamp does not get hot. Special care has been taken to seal the interior of the lamp.IN USE: This is a 27.5” lamp that is quite large and fun to use. Make certain you have room for it. The mount is in the center of the lamp and extra wide.INSTALL: The lamp is fairly easy to install and is heavy on weight. Four black screws on the sides hold it to the support bracket. Of the nine outdoor sconce lights I have installed lately, this was in the middle of easy and hard. The ground cable can help hold the lamp up during install but be careful as the lamp is heavy for that.FINAL NOTE: “Outline” design, higher quality and 27” plus modern design. The light looks as pictured. It has a very modern sleek look, bright, and built to last. This wall light throws off is a pleasing and soft temp light that looks elegant while providing the perfect balance of usable light also the installation was super easy, didn't run into any issues. The light has no weaknesses though and we enjoy it. I highly recommend it.
