Mushroom Pleated Traditional Spider Lamp Shade

We were gifted some beautiful lamps that were purchased on clearance because they simply did not sell. Well, it was obvious that the lamps paired with them would not allow the light to escape the bulb, therefore we purchased two (2) of these beautiful lamps shades. I read the reviews how the shades came bent and almost destroyed, so we were somewhat apprehensive to buy, however, we did. These shades were carefully packed, no dents and no damage in any way. It appears that have learned how to pack them correctly. The shades worked! The lamps are beautiful!

My other lamp shade cracked inside so got this shade to replace. Looks nice and color was same as had before.

This shade was a beautiful upgrade from the old tan shade that had stains on it (from what, I don't know). The light using this white shade is brighter, not yellow, which was my reason for purchasing. The shade did not have the same mounting hardware shape as the old one, but it still fit perfectly. The white makes it look modern, but it still features the old-fashioned pleated texture. No real assembly is required. It came in a big box, somehow slightly dented, but that popped out easily with no lasting damage. Good quality shade that should last for many years.

I ordered 4 total lamp shades from Aspen Creative. Two arrived in one box, well packed, brand new, new hardware included and were in perfect condition. The look nice and are of appropriate quality. The box appeared to be a manufacturer's box, was heavy cardboard and had both "fragile" and "lamp shades" printed in large print on the outside of the box. 5 starsThe other two arrived in separate boxes. Both were of a lighter cardboard, no printing on the outside. One was obviously new, had the manufacturers label on it and was wrapped in the type of plastic that new lamp shades typically are. No hardware was included, but the lampshade itself was nice, and worked perfectly. 4 starsThe other lampshade appeared to be a return, but was sold to me as NEW and at full price. No label, no plastic wrap, random broken pieces of some sort of plastic rattling around in the box. Slight bend in the shade, but I was able to "pop" it out without breaking the plastic lining. If I wanted a "returned" item, I would have bought one. Selling obviously returned items as new is deceptive. 1 star

The correct replacement lampshade is hard to find and for some reason, they are all expensive. Shopping online made the process simple. Choose the shape, then the dimensions. It looks great. The white is not a white white compared to my other lamp shade which is whiter, but unlikely anyone would notice. I like the pleated fabric outside. Easy to change. It doesn't block the light. Great selection.
