Item as described, reasonable cost, good value for price, easy to install. Only problem was delivery by Amazon. Message "Item arived late to distribution center", then no word for several days. Sounded like "fell off the back of the truck". Not clear status messages, lack of messages for several days, then suddenly out for delivery. So, item received, but with opaque status messages, unexplained problems during delivery.

The look of these (I ordered the brass version) is great and compares well to others I have from other sets from years ago. So, aesthetically these are solid. My main issue is that the pieces take more time than expected to insert and screw in, as the threads don't quite line up perfectly. Not a huge deal, as I ended up being able to figure it out, but I had to ditch half of the black cord support pieces because they simply wouldn't fit. This doesn't look bad looks-wise, but as I'm going to be hanging the bulbs from an installation rather than using them within a standing lamp, I do wonder how they'll hold up over time.

These are what I'd call industry standard for base quality electrical parts, and the UL listing bears that out. I have no concerns about their safety or function.The description says they're aluminum, but they're not nor should they be. Steel is perfect for this and these are that.Great price for 4 and all my table lamps will now have the same, non-flickering bulb bases.
