Some have said it is heavy, but at the age of 92, I don't think so. You can use most standard type of light bulb. It works to charge my cell phone, and spread light all over my desk.It could have been better, but I don't know how.

As far as lamps go, this one had more features than most available even a few years ago. The ability to wirelessly charge your cellphone or plug in other accessories is a definite plus and it would fit in nicely on either a home or office desk. If I had to fault it on one thing, it would be the color of the shade. It's more of a dingy green than a deep emerald green that I would prefer.
