Bright, easy to install, looks good

[Color: Matte Black, Size: Medium]
I was quite pleased with this light as a replacement for an old, rotting and dim light fixture. This fit exactly in the same spot without any need to drill new holes. Installation was straight forward and easy. It looks sharp, and the LED light is bright. The auto on and off from dusk to dawn is great and convenient. Overall a good buy.

Now I have a lamp post!Now I have a lamp post!

I bought my home a few years ago, and I was the only one in my neighborhood, who didn’t have a lamp post. This past summer I ordered this because I didn’t want to have to pay an electrician. I knew the previous owners had one before, but I have no idea the condition of the wires underground. I just wanted something I could do myself.I purchased the pole and borrowed my neighbors post digger and put the pole in the ground with cement. I was nervous because I don’t get a lot of sunlight right here due to the tree, but basically wanted it for the looks of the post itself, so I was willing to take the chance.I was pleasantly surprised to see the light go on at night, and I have even woken up at 3 am and it’s still lit. I opted for the warm white/yellow setting, because personally I’m not a fan of the white/blueish led. I do believe that setting would provide more light though.I just decorated my lamp post for Christmas with fresh pine roping, white lights and a bow. I am absolutely in love with this!If you’re looking for bright light, I would suggest something else, but if you’re ok with a dimmer light, this is the way to go!

What I was looking for

First let me say that I love these lanterns! Easy to install....well, was adapting them to a smaller post than they were intended...I knew that when I bought them, so with persistence and a trip to the lumber yard....done! Brightness....bought them because of the reviews and softer lighting. I have mine set on the soft light setting....didn't even try the brighter setting....wanted the ambiance....perfect. have no clue on the motion sensor. They light up dusk to dawn. If they last.....they are perfect for me and my water garden area!

Light is perfect for my patio and looks nice!

Light looks very nice and was easy to install. It is not extremely bright like a spot light would be and doesn't fully illuminate a larger area but is bright enough for my front patio. If I wanted more Light I would have got a spot Light. Sturdy design. Just had 80 mile an hour winds that took out a large tree on my property and the light is still going strong. Great purchase!

Beautiful and bright!

We have a long, dark driveway, with 2 brick 'posts' at the start, and we wanted to light it up so people could see it from the road! So my husband chose these and we're so happy with them. We have never set up a motion sensor option, so I can't comment on that, but they're bright and beautiful. The style goes perfectly with our Tudor home and we plan to buy smaller lights that match them so we can line the driveway. We're absolutely pleased and would make the purchase again.

Excellent but that led is too bright for a neighborhood

[Color: Matte Black, Size: Medium]
It seems to have a dimmer? One click on and it looks like 10k bright white light, a click off and on and it looks like an 8k warm light. Both too bright. Neighbors hating hard. Swapped it out for a 40watt led flickering bulb. Looks like fire. This replaced a broken down plastic post lamp from the 70s, same wires, easy install. It's a tough hard plastic so should last a decade or two.
