It's is exactly how it is described. It is sturdy and the glass is thick and solid. I like a nice glass shade along a gold accent. I Like the shape and how the size of the fixture is compatible with the shape. It has a timeless feel to it. It can either look mid century, art decor, modern ,or Victorian. You can see the light but since there are ridges it helps Towne down the brightness. It is easy to install and cant wait to give it time to see how long it last.
