Item arrived packaged adequately for shipment in a cardboard box. Each item was wrapped individually in a plastic bag. Items received were: one (1) light unit, a bag of goodies (containing a connection plate, wire nuts, and mounting screws), along with a sheet of instructions.Overall the light unit is approx 10 inches long and approx 4 1/2 inches wide. (A white color pill shaped unit.)Upon unboxing and plugging in, lights did not come on when pressing the “test” button. The test button was glowing “red” however so I thought perhaps the battery needed charging (as the very first comments on the instruction sheet indicated). Final determination is that the red light is only indicating the presence of AC power. However as I let it charge, I decided to read all of the information contained on the instruction sheet. 😉 Within the “install” section I found that the battery was shipped “disconnected”. So I opened the unit up and plugged the battery in and tested again (without plugging into AC). No lights came on. Ok, now I figured the battery needed (and would charge since I plugged in) to be charged and plugged it in. After plugging into AC, I tested a third time and yes, you guessed it - third time was a charm and the lights lighted when test button was pressed!Overall the instruction sheet contained all of the needed information, however I feel they could have organized it better for those of us (me) that, on a good day, only glance at the instructions. The unit feels a little flimsy, as the housing plastic is of a thinner material. But as this is designed to be mounted (on a wall) above a door or other important area to be “lit”, I am not sure the unit needs to be built to withstand a lot of impacts. So no major concerns but something to consider if the area you plan to place this in can get rowdy. Each light puck can be adjusted by spinning (turning) the puck (approx 300 degrees). The adjustment is minimal but should allow you to position each to shine in a certain direction.Hard to judge (so this is just my observation/opinion) but the lights do not seem overly bright. Now in all fairness, when power has gone out and these come on in a dark area - you will be able to see them and they should help illuminate the area in which it was installed. After letting it charge, I pulled the plug and the lights lit. Worked exactly how it should.Overall I find this to be designed to function for its intended purpose. Given the price point, this is a good value and you are getting what you are paying for.
Seems like a good light, but it lacks any method to attach the light to the wall or ceiling. I plan on using double stick tape and wiring up a plug to plug it into an outlet. It does come with a circular mounting plate and several screws for a round junction box, but there is no method I can see to attach the light to the plate.

Easy to install, clear directions.
I really liked this emergency light, it feels solid and well made, and the white finish looks clean and simple in person. The weight is light enough to mount easily, but it still feels durable, not flimsy at all. The brightness is strong and clear, and the battery backup gives good peace of mind during outages. For the cost, the value is great because you get a reliable cETL‑listed unit that looks professional and works exactly as expected. Everything arrived well packed and the housing feels like it will hold up over time. I would definitely buy this again because it’s a dependable emergency light that does its job without any fuss.
The brightness functionality adheres to the durability it provides. Adding a safe comfort in my own house especially the value for the amount it cost. I especially like how it can be used via 120 to 227 volts, using a lithium battery or a plug in to a wall. The installation is swift and easy. Added functionality between sound and lights adds comfort.
I was impressed with the sturdy feel of the LANGGAN Emergency Light for Business. Increased safety security is a MUST for any business area. It must be connected, but I didn't find that difficult. I was impressed with the light. It's not a heavy kind of kind of light, but the find the lightweight structure to be a plus, not a minus. I did NOT find the overall feeling of it be be cheap. It felt well made to me and I was impressed with the lighting output.
This LANGGAN emergency light unit works, but build quality is clearly on the budget end.Out of the box, the internal battery is not connected. The connector must be plugged in manually before the unit will function on backup power. Once the battery is connected and the unit is wired to mains power, it charges properly and transitions to battery operation when power is removed. The housing and overall construction feel inexpensive. The plastic is thin, and the internal layout reflects cost-focused manufacturing rather than durability or robustness. One interesting design detail is that the battery cavity is very large relative to the included battery. There is significant unused space, which suggests the housing could physically accommodate a larger-capacity battery if someone chose to modify it.Light output is functional but not particularly strong. It is adequate for emergency navigation in a small room, closet, or hallway, but it is not bright enough to illuminate large spaces effectively. The output is roughly comparable to two small inexpensive aluminum LED flashlights combined. Based on that comparison, total light output is likely in the range of approximately 80 to 150 lumens combined from both heads. That is sufficient for emergency visibility but not for detailed work. The unit does operate correctly once installed. It charges, switches to battery mode during power loss, and provides usable emergency lighting. For basic compliance and minimal emergency illumination, it does the job.
