We have a lamp that would infrequently work, then not work on the lowest setting, but always on the two higher ones. I decided to try a new socket since they're so inexpensive- in fact, why not have a spare since I'm often fixing things for myself and others. The new switches are identical to the original, and it only took about 3 minutes to change the suspect one out. Voila! It turns out it was indeed a faulty switch, not the 3-way LED bulb! Glad I decided to try the new switch, and even better I've got a spare for when someone else we know needs one. As a lifelong handyman I've always found it beneficial to have an extra "whatever" already in stock- it saves a pesky trip to the store and makes any repair go a lot quicker and easier. My favorite line whenever I'm helping a friend or family fix something: "What, you think I have one of those just sitting here waiting? Cause I DO!" It's an extra bonus when the replacment is an exact duplicate of the original, which was the case with this 3-way switch!

So easy to swap out your broken sockets! I was so hesitant but watched a you tube video and viola! Done! I actually had been looking for a repair shop to do this for me! So glad I tried it myself!
