The warm color of these lights is perfect for a nice cozy and quaint lighting effect. I decided to use these for the ceiling edge of our hallway where our guest bathroom door is. It's perfect. Easy to install along the top corner of the ceiling, all you need to do is discreetly attach a 12 volt power adapter and you're good. I used a good power adapter I had laying around that has 1A of amperage. The fact that the diodes are not exposed makes this strip easily installable anywhere outdoors!! I

This is a very nice flexible exterior LED strip. The quality of the materials used to make it are durable and have an attractive aesthetic. It is capped at one end and has a black and a red wire coming from the other. It comes with some mounting hardware but no instructions and none of the things needed to connect it to power. While the Amazon listing shows it being used for home exterior, know that using it this way requires a transformed and other equipment to reduce the current to 12V. It is much easier to use on a vehicle, connecting the wires to your battery, but you'll need to install a fuse on the red wire (red to the positive terminal, black to the negative) and preferably a DC-DC buck converter to prevent the current from raising past 12V, which could damage the strip. Overall it's great quality but requires additional hardware and an understanding of electrical current.

I understand the flexibility of allowing customers to either hardwire it or connect it to a freestanding power supply for a standard outlet, but it’s still inconvenient. I chose to pair mine with the company’s 12V 60W waterproof power supply, which was easy enough to find since they sell compatible options.Installation itself isn’t difficult, just time-consuming. The included clips and screws are straightforward to use and hold the strip securely in place, keeping it straight for a clean, professional look. Once everything is up, the finished result does look very polished and well done.Another area where this product falls short is control options. Unless you hardwire it, there’s no built-in control system - no app, no remote, no dimming features. I worked around this by plugging mine into a smart plug so I could schedule it to turn on and off for my exterior entryway. Beyond simple on/off functionality, though, there are no customization features.The light output is fairly bright, and the warm white color I chose is very attractive. It gives off a welcoming glow, and I’ve had more than one person stop and admire it.Overall, I feel the price is a bit high considering you must purchase the power supply separately and there are no customization features, especially when comparable products often include both.

I received this LED light strip but concerned at the high price. It is only 16.4 feet long and it is very similar to a neon LED light rope. The light is smooth without noticeable diodes. This does not offer other colors or multiple white color temperatures. The one thing that is different about this light strip is that it needs to be wired into a low voltage transformer like with many of those pathway lights. That is a good long-term option with easier controls and makes the light strip a good choice. However, I do find the price still too high for this item with the lack of options it has.
