This travertine and metal shade table lamp is just beautiful. Definitely something you don’t see everyday!The base is made of a really heavy piece of smooth and polished travertine. The shade is a low dome shaped black iron shade with a smooth and lovely finish which screws on with a finial. The cord has the power switch.It does not come with a light bulb and I had a heck of a time trying to find one that fit. It has to be incredibly short as the diffuser that points downward towards the bulb literally almost touches the bulb. I finally ended up using an appliance bulb in the meantime until I could get to the hardware store to find a different bulb. Also, you do need to unscrew the housing in order to install a lightbulb.This lamp gives off a soft diffused light, and is more for ambience rather than reading!A friend came over and commented on what a cool lamp it was! And this happened in the daytime when the lamp wasn’t even on. So it definitely is a conversation piece. It looks expensive (because it is!) and appears high end. Overall I’m happy with the quality and look of this unique table lamp.

I ordered and received the Mid-Century Modern Travertine Table Lamp. I have mixed feelings about this table lamp. It's clearly premium quality materials, from the travertine base to the matte black iron shade. It looks beautiful as an accent lamp, or an attractive nightlight. The issue is when it comes to trying to install the lightbulb. You'll need to seek out the correct size, standard light bulbs will not fit. You will need a wrench or pliers every time you want to install or replace the lightbulb. Kind of a design flaw in my opinion. For the current price, you would think they could include one of those cheap little wrenches that comes with so many put-it-together yourself furniture these days. Pros: attractive, quality. Cons: fussy lightbulb installation, pricey.

The top is hard to get off you actually need a tool to get to where you put in the lightbulb. The size of bulb needed was not clear at first but the seller responded to me promptly and made adjustments to the add so there is no more confusion. I was impressed with the customer service and care in resolving my issue. The lamp is beautiful!

Beautiful stylish lamp with natural travertine and a very unique look. Changing the bulb is a bit of a challenge, so beware, but for this unique style and price point I think you're more concerned with the style than the ease of bulb changes. Plus hopefully, you won't need to be changing them out a lot! It is a bit pricy but these materials make it well worth it if this is your style.

I really like the look of this Travertine lamp. The light diffuses softly - it's not harsh at all. The on/off switch is connected to the power cord rather than attached to the fixture itself.I contacted the company because when I purchased it, it did not include the bulb size needed. And there were no instructions in the box. I was impressed that the company updated the page within a day to include information about the required bulb type, with pictures.The Travertine is heavy and solid. The design of the black metal shade is a perfect contrast to the earthy Travertine material.I also mentioned to the company that the styrofoam packaging inside was terrible - it was coming apart with little styrofoam beads everywhere. The company rep said they will immediately change the packaging and they appreciated my suggestions.The last thing I suggested was to include a small wrench to unscrew the inner shade area so that you can insert a bulb. They indicated they would do that, too.IMPORTANT: Make sure it is a low bulb height-wise, as the black diffuser point faces very low into the lamp. A tall bulb will not work.I definitely recommend the lamp when you want the right accent to a space that allows for about 16" disc shade. It adds nice vibe to my room.Note: While I evaluate products for Amazon, I provide only completely honest reviews based on my personal experience or the experience of those close to me, including the good, the bad, and the ugly, when applicable.

The first thing I noticed was how heavy this lamp is which is of course due to its travertine base. Everything about the lamp shows its quality. It is an incredibly stylish lamp that is just the right size for our guest bedroom. It's probably a little overpriced ($125 at time of this review) but there's no question that it's a lot nicer than most too.

The travertine base is very smooth, the shade feels premium, and the in‑line switch seems well‑constructed and durable. It gives off a soft, warm glow, and the diffuser prevents hotspots so the iron shade never gets dangerously hot. It’s the kind of lamp you’d expect to see in a high‑end hotel or spa.However, there are a few drawbacks. Normal bulbs won’t fit because the diffuser hangs down quite far, so you need a utility‑style bulb. Installing the bulb requires removing two screws and rotating the lid mount out of the way. My base wasn’t perfectly centered, which at this price point is disappointing. It’s not a deal breaker, but the bulb sits slightly off‑center, causing a bit more light on one side of the diffuser.I also have two small spots where light bleeds through the stone. This is completely normal for natural travertine, and every lamp will be different. If someone doesn’t like the light bleed, aluminum foil or electrical tape on the inside will block the veins.One more note: the packaging uses Styrofoam that breaks apart easily. When I opened mine, loose foam went everywhere and stuck to everything from static. It was easy to clean, but I’d recommend opening it outside or somewhere easy to sweep.Final VerdictA visually stunning, high‑end lamp with a warm, elegant glow and premium materials. Minor quality control issues, specifically the off‑center socket, keep it from being perfect. A solid 4 stars.
