This 3-in-1 lamp is fantastic! The glass lens is crystal clear with no distortion, making detailed work so much easier. I bought this lamp for my mother because she is an older woman who loves embroidering napkins, but at her age, working at night had become difficult. We absolutely loved that it has multiple color modes and is very flexible, but what really caught our attention was the built-in magnifying glass, which provides superior clarity and illumination. Since the lamp is portable, she can use it anywhere in the house; we are very happy with this purchase and delighted with the lamp.

This is a great magnifying glass. It pivots in many directions. There is one pivot that I would say is missing. For lack of a better term, I would say that it doesn’t move in and out because there is no ball to pivot on. Over all it works well and I am pleased with my purchase. The light is very useful and works great. The only other problem I ran into was the lens cover did not remain open as well as I wanted.

I’ve been using this every day since I got it, and I have a few thoughts:1. It could absolutely be brighter. I’m using it to magnify and see very small details while I work. That’s the whole point of a lighted magnifier, so I expected the light to be much brighter.2. The cover over the magnifying glass doesn’t stay in position. It relies entirely on gravity, so you can really only use the light effectively when it’s pointed straight down. If you try to angle the light to illuminate your work from the side or another direction, the cover simply swings open or closed on its own. It needs some type of hinge tension or locking mechanism so it stays where you put it.3. Speaking of the cover, it’s incredibly flimsy. “Flimsy” is almost an understatement.4. Unfortunately, the flimsiness isn’t limited to the cover. As other reviewers have mentioned, the entire unit tips over far too easily. It’s top-heavy, and the base isn’t substantial enough to support the light in most positions. It really needs a heavier, more stable base.Overall, I actually like this product and use it every day, which is why these issues are so frustrating. With a brighter light, a sturdier base, and a cover that stays where you put it, this would be an excellent product. If those improvements are ever made, I’d happily buy it again. In the meantime, I’m honestly considering returning this one.

I like this magnifying lamp. It has to be plugged in. It is NOT a rechargeable lamp. I use it for painting little details. The light adjusts from warm to cool light and bright or not so bright. Can be a floor lamp or a table lamp. I use it as a floor lamp.

If you’re looking for something to help with PBN, miniature painting, model building, etc, you need this. My second one, I left the first one at a friend’s home, she loved it so much! This one has more capabilities, in that it can be stood on the floor too. I like using the base on a table and haven’t had any issues with it toppling over. Just angle the arm til it’s stable and away you go. The light is great, adjust as you like for your activities. The lens is great, clear and quite powerful, as much as I should need for a while. The cover over the lens is brilliant! Keeps your lens dust a dirt free, plus saves you from fire in the event a random sunbeam should wander in. Happy crafting, keep creating!
