I got this light to use in my deer stand. Ironically we don't hunt, but my husband built it because he wanted to videotape the process since he didn't with other things he's built. So I have a lovely dear stand with insulated walls and windows and everything but there's no electric obviously. I mean, it's in the middle of the woods. We have 25 acres so it's entirely too far from the house for electric which is why I was interested in this light!I like the fact that I can charge this light and then take it out with me when I go and I can illuminate the entire stand with just one light! At this point we don't have a hook for it yet in the ceiling but we are working on that. For now though I took a picture with the light on its highest setting in my bathroom which has no windows whatsoever. There's not even a window across from the bathroom so it's absolutely pitch black in there and as you can see it's fully illuminated with this light!The light has several different settings so you don't have to have the brightest setting if you don't want to. Obviously the battery charge lasts longer on the lower settings than the higher. It's not very big so it's easy to just toss in with the other things I'm taking with me. It stays charged a long time. And it's super easy to operate. It's just that push button to turn it on and to turn it to different settings. You plug it into charge it. It's super easy to use!This light is currently $23 which I find very comparable to other available lights that are similar. I like that it's a streamlined design and it's not all kinds of fancy and elaborate when it doesn't need to be! It's just a circular light with a hook, a button and a plug. But most importantly it works super well to illuminate the space completely when I don't have electric. I would definitely buy this again!

This is a well designed and highly practical compact camping light that performed reliably during a recent three day trip. I hung it from the center of my pop up tent, where it provided consistent and effective lighting each evening.The battery performance really stood out. Using the medium brightness setting for several hours each night, the battery only dropped to three out of four indicator lights by the end of the trip. This makes it a dependable option for multi-day use without frequent charging. When it does need to be recharged, the process is efficient. Using a fast charger, I was able to bring the battery from nearly empty to full in approximately three and a half hours.The light offers three brightness settings along with a flashing emergency beacon mode. Each setting serves a clear purpose. The high setting is very bright and suitable for larger areas. The medium setting comfortably illuminated my entire 10’x10’ canopy. The low setting provides a softer light that would work well inside a smaller tent or for more subtle lighting needs.The magnetic base is another useful feature. It attaches securely to metal surfaces such as the frame of a pop up tent, making placement simple and flexible. I have another one of these I got for working in dark areas that came with frosted white plastic which helps diffuse the light better than the clear so you're not burning dots into your retinas as bad as this one does if you look at it wrong.But with that in mind as long as you aren't looking directly at it, the amount of light this puts out far surpasses those cob led light sticks from the port cargo store, or even the name brand hot swappable battery jobs from the big tool manufacturers. It's a flood light so the entire compartment is illuminated whether that's a small room or a electrical cabinet you're not going to have problems seeing with this.The magnet lets you stick to most surfaces in a mechanical room, but the hook lets you adapt for situations when you don't have the option of slapping it on a cabinet door or unistrut. The three brightness levels are almost pointless because even the dimmest setting is plenty bright and increases your battery life.I did appreciate the USB port for charging my phone when I'm on a job and need a quick top up to keep going. But it will hurt the run time ultimately so better to save it for emergencies. That added functionality didn't seem important at first but it has saved me once already so I appreciate the nifty addition. The rubber gasket helps keep dust out but nothing about this device says waterproof or event water resistant so don't drop it in a puddle. Speaking of dropping it, if you do hit pavement with it, which I have and got incredibly lucky, it just popped the twist lock dome off and I was able to press and twit it back on. So it can take a small drop without catastrophic failure. In terms of runtime, it lasts several hours on lowest setting, I've run it about 3-4 hours on low with the battery being about less than half charged when done. Never really got hot to the point of shutting off for overheating or anything in a motor compartment that well exceeded 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Which really came as a surprise given how many LEDs are on here and how bright it is. I'm amazed because it doesn't look like it has much in the way of heatsinks/cooling.The one button to turn it on and cycle through settings keeps things simple to use. The 4 leds to indicate charge level is a big deal if you're using them every day like I do, keeps me from going into a job with a mostly dead light so I appreciate that bit of information at a glance.Really happy with this light, glad I have two now to swap between.

Updated testing - Just concluded the 100 hour challenge and... it's good! Or, I'll say close enough that I'm extremely happy. On low, we ran out of juice tight about 98 hours. Basically, we can use this as our tent light for a whole week of camping with no worries and that is awesome.In the world of camp lights, we usually find drastically inflated claims, poor battery life, poor construction, and just a litany of disappointments. Somehow, this non-branded light beats the performance of many lights in my collection.This is a fairly lightweight device that I wouldn't call rugged, but the construction seems solid. For overall durability, I'll have to update at the end of this year's camp season. The hook makes it easy to hang in a tent or pavilion and the magnet allows for quick deployment in the right location (they do include a plate you can semi-permanently attach to non-magnetic surfaces should you want to do that).That's all good, but we're here for the light and the battery life. When I saw claim of 14 hours of battery life on the high setting, I was already writing up some scathing comments for review in my head. I have to admit, I did not fully charge the light before doing the battery life test, but I was in a bit of a rush. So I switched the light on the blindingly bright high setting (DO NOT look directly into the light!), set it on a shelf, watched a movie, and went to bed. Much to my surprise, at the 11 hour mark, the light was still blindingly bright and running strong. I went to work with the light still running and after another 11 hours, I expected to find a dark and drained device; but I was wrong. At 24 hours on the high setting, the light was still glowing at about half the strength of what it looks like on the low setting. This kind of battery performance is more than impressive and means this is definitely going into the camp kit. With the performance I got on the highest setting, I am not doubting the 100 hour claim on the low setting (that test is ongoing and I'll update if needed).On high, you'll have no trouble seeing anything under a pavilion and it is actually too bright for tent use. Medium is the output of many other camp lanterns at the highest settings and the low setting is perfect for tent lighting.Charging does take some time, but I think it is a fair trade for the ultimate life you get from a single charge.As it is now, I highly recommend this as an area light for your camp.
