This is REALLY beautiful. I’m really happy with it. The design is so pretty. It’s a heavy piece but they give you the appropriate hardware to make sure you have a sturdy installation. It’s well, well worth the price for its elegance. It automatically pulls focus and grabs your attention where you know you’re looking at a high quality piece. The alabaster’s marbling has nice shading and color. It’s inked like thunder, adding a level of visual interest, beauty and depth to its veneer. It brings a touch of luxurious nature into your home by its use of stone which plays nicely off the glamour of the rich gold coloring of the metal. The geometric shape also makes it look very modern and just very clean. A small detail, the gold midpoint really takes the glamour up another notch. Given its size, it brightens up the room with a nice warm, cozy glow. It’s apparent it was carefully constructed and looks like something very purposefully selected and not purchased on a whim. I used it vertically above a bust I have of the Roman emperor Caracalla to add some balance and it flows nicely.
