I recently renovated my basement and installed a movie theater room. Inside this room was two steps up to the upper viewing platform and I wanted a stair light that would not stay on during the movie. Well this one was perfect as it lit up when someone was approaching the steps and would go off after everyone was seated.Having the different white color spectrum options was also nice because I didn't want the light to be super bright and blind people during the movie. I chose to used the 3000K color as it was a warmer white and didn't look yellow.The only issue I had with this light was that it is very bright, which in some cases is a very good thing. For my movie room it lights up most of the floor when the light come on and was distracting when someone got up in the middle of a movie. Thankfully these are dimmable, however I did not wire this light on a separate switch. I may end up going back and re-wiring this light to include the dimmer switch to solve this problem. Overall I am happy with these and they served the purpose for me.

These are a super cool addition to my new house. I have always wanted stair lights like this since I was a kid. They really add a nice touch and are very functional. The install was very easy. They fit right into a standard single gang box with no problem. The included dimmer is a nice feature and works great. It lets you set the brightness exactly where you want it.The wiring was simple and everything went together with no issues. The color temperature adjustment is great. The warmer settings are perfect for nighttime and give off a nice soft glow that is not too harsh in the dark. The motion detection works really well and is very responsive.One thing I noticed with this set is that the packaging was much better than other brands I ordered. The lights were very well protected in the box and everything was nicely packed.I ordered a few different brands to test them out and these have been my favorite so far. I am very happy with them and will definitely order more.

These Teekuv step lights were too good not to share. I installed them along my basement stairs and WOW—what a difference. They look really sleek with the modern white aluminum finish, and the light they give off is just right.What I love most is the motion sensor. I have it on AUTO mode, and it’s super convenient—lights up just when you need it and shuts off on its own, which is perfect when my hands are full. There’s also an ON mode for when you want them on all the time, like during gatherings.The dimmer switch is a nice touch too. You can slide it to get the exact brightness you want. Plus, I didn’t realize how nice it would be to pick the color temperature—whether I want a warm cozy glow or bright white for better visibility, I can switch it easily.Installation was a breeze. I’m no electrician, but with basic tools and a bit of patience, I had them up and running in no time. No transformer needed, which made things simpler.They feel solid and are clearly built to last, even if you use them outdoors. I got these for the two poorly lit steps I'm replacing in the front of my house. I was able to mock these up on the existing steps and get the wiring in, though I'm going to rebuild the steps altogether and flush mount two of these.I'm most happy about the color control, since I like a warmer 2700k light vs. a cold white, and too many other lights I looked at were much more white. These can be customized to your preference. I also like the motion sensing option as I don't typically keep my front light on, but I do want any visitors to be able to clearly see the steps without me having to turn on the light in advance. With the motion detection, I can turn that mode on and then forget about it without worrying about guests tripping on the steps. I can't speak to the waterproofing, but they look like they will hold up well.

These are almost identical to another set of motion lights I also am reviewing, so much that I think they are probably made in the same factory, although offered under different brands. So my review will probably look very similar.These work very well, the brightness is enough to illuminate the stairs well without being blinding if your trying to get to the bathroom after waking up in the middle of the night. The motion sensing works well when you get close, and I find the ideal height to be between 8-10 inches above the step, if you are installing them about 2 feet apart from each other. I'm using these to illuminate the stairs to our loft in our cottage build. I didn't use the switch, I just hard wired them into the walls with the motion sensing turned on. You also have the option to turn it to the "on" function where it will stay on all the time until the light sensor detects daylight, essentially turning the into a hardwired nightlight. Which is exactly how I plan to use some of these. I plan to put 2 of these in my daughters room as night lights since she is still at the stage where shes a bit scared of the dark. I probably will put that one on a switch though.One thing I did not see mentioned in the description that I like is the cover can actually come off the light so that you could paint it to whatever color you want to match your room or decor, and then place the cover back on the light. If you paint it though, you might void the warranty, not sure on that. Check the manual before doing it. I would also use paint designed for plastic, not the normal wall paint. In night light mode, the brightness is adjusted a little lower which I like, but also wish was a selectable feature instead of being automatic. You can select between 5 different color temps which is nice. You can pretty much match whatever other lighting you are using in the area.At the current price, these work out to be a little over 12 each, which I think is a decent deal for what your getting. They look very modern installed, way better than seeing those plug in lights in the outlets IMO.

These lights are pretty attractive. I ordered them to try on the steps that lead to my basement. My basement has a 16-step switchback design. My current stair design made optimizing these lights position challenging as the set comes with an odd number of lights. So the installation essentially necessitated that one light be placed on the middle of each flight and the third be placed on the mid-landing.The aforementioned sparce installation option provided the best result limiting the project to three lights.Things you should know:1. The set comes with 3 lights2. The base plates surrounding the lights are white3. These LED lights are dimmable4. Motion detection feature provides power savings and neat effect5. These need to be HARDWIRED6. The surrounding plates measure ‎4.72"L x 2.88"W x 1.65"H standard plate size7. These can get very bright!In addition to what is mentioned above these stair lights are also rated for indoor or outdoor installation. My outdoor steps are all concrete, so installation would not be optimal. However, if you have wooden stairs or decking on the exterior of your home then these can be installed quite easily.There are different modes to choose from such as Always-ON, ON-With-Motion, and daylight or off as well.These lights can get surprisingly bright especially when a setting such as entering my dark basement.Overall, these are a fantastic buy and exceeded my expectations.
