you will need something of significance to attach this to, but the lights are bright and the motion detector is sensitive enough to catch most movement and trigger them to come on.they do end up tighter against the soffit than the old ones, so the ability to angle and rotate the lights is necessary.

This is my second purchase of these SANSI LED Flood lights, delivered the next day with Amazon Prime. I purchased a set a year ago and very satisfied with the quality and performance. The LED floodlights are replacing the older halogen floodlights mounted under my eves / soffits. I have a ranch style home so I replaced a set on each corner. The lights easily wired and mounted right into the existing flood light junction box. The brightness, multiple modes, motion sensitivity, and directional adjustments are all great. Replacing the older power hungry and short life flood light bulbs with LED units was long overdue and makes sense in every aspect. After a full year of performance with these lights on the backside of my house I confidently decided to now replace the older flood lights on the front side. I did purchase a new junction box for the front side replacement because the older one just looked worn. If needed the proper size junction boxes can be order online or picked up at any home supply store and are very inexpensive ($5 - $10). The actual replacement only took about 20 minutes for each unit. Obviously if you do not have existing wiring and junction box the installation will be more involved. I tested and adjusted the motion sensor direction and sensitivity during the day and went out after dark to adjust the angle of the lights to my liking.

I installed four of these at 15 feet- after a few on off cycles they all seem to work properly now, at first one of them came on in the daytime and stayed on for hours. Now they all work properly but because of the high mounting they trigger on from far away. I will have to redirect them pointing more downward and I think they will be ok. Cheap construction but I like the features and they do the job--the single screw in the middle is a little cheesy but again, it works.

This product is superb, thanks to its somewhat unique design and great price. I've had to buy a number of such lights over the years, this one is the best so far, hands down. The price is amazing, but the features and the flexibility of the two lights make this a great choice. Most outdoor lights don't have the range of motion of these two OLD ring lights. They can be positioned straight down, which is required these days by many HOAs. Or they can be rotated and angled into nearly any necessary position. It is easy to install, but my tip is to spend the extra few minutes to install the bracket that comes with the unit if you are replacing an older light. I didn't, making the stupid assumption the screw would work, and it didn't. So I had to start from scratch and remove the old bracket, and the new one with this unit worked perfectly. Great, step-less controls for light duration and sensitivity, plus a unique control over lumens, which doesn't alter the output of the lights but rather allows control over the light's ability to operate under ambient conditions at, say, dusk vs. Dark. Good looking, small, but very powerful. An excellent product.
