Surprisingly Bright for My Walkway! Highly RecommendSurprisingly Bright for My Walkway! Highly Re...

[Set name: 2 Pack, Set name: 2 Pack]
I put these along the walkway from my driveway to the house and they've been working well so far. Setup was simple since I just picked the height I wanted, pushed them into the ground, and left the panels in the sun. I like the motion setting because the lights stay fairly dim normally and get noticeably brighter when someone walks by. The sensor has been picking me up before I get too close, which is useful when coming home at night. After a sunny day, mine have stayed on through the evening without running out of power. We've had some rain since I installed them and I haven't noticed any water issues. They give the walkway a nicer look while also making it easier to see where I'm stepping.

[Set name: 2 Pack, Set name: 2 Pack]
I waited to review the set Garpar 400LM Solar Pathway Lights with Motion Sensor to see how long they last before the solar-charged batteries ran out of 'steam' and how well the sensor perceives movement. There are two options for these lights: whether to use one or two poles per light (excluding the stake) and which setting to use for the lights. The directions explain how many times to press the button in order to have the lights 1) relatively dim and to brighten when movement is sensed; 2) maintain the same relatively dim strength; or 3) turn on in the higher brightness setting when motion is sensed and then turn off when motion stops. I placed the lights across from one another in the two places which receive the least amount of direct sunlight of anywhere along my path. My house faces southeast so there is a good amount of direct sunlight for many hours per cloudfree day except in these two locations. These spots are under my roof's eave and both places are also partially shades by shrubs. The design of the lights is smart; rather than the panels laying flat with the horizon, they angle up which, at least in my situation, allows the panels to obtain more light as the sun moves across the sky.I chose to have the lights remain in the dim setting and then brighten when there is motion. And I decided to use one pole per light as I didn't want them to be taller than that. As I always do with solar lights, I used a screwdriver to pre-dig a hole for each light so that no part of the light would have extra pressure exerted on them when I put the lights in the ground.I began using the Garpar lights in July and am finding that each light is still on (in the dimmer setting) when I take my dog out at 5:30am. Both sense motion and switch to the brighter setting as we walk near the lights. The sensors picks up our movement well before we pass them. They do a good job of lighting up the path as well as the ground on either side of the lights.Time will tell as to whether or not the solar lights do well in rain though both worked as intended during the heavy rain we received last week and they continue to function well since then. I'll update this review should they fail at some point. I do like that the button is under the light itself as opposed to being on top of it or the back. I hope that will deter rain from accessing wiring. The video clip I uploaded starts with the lights in the brighter setting [after I walked past them] and shows as they switch to the dimmer setting once there is no motion.

Pretty and well built. Nice that they have motion sensor

[Set name: 2 Pack]
I have lots of solar lights and also other types of outdoor lighting. Since I'm in a very rural area with no street lights, etc. I rely on these to light up my yard, driveway, and further out towards the pastures and the road. These caught my eye because of the shape. These are unlike any of my others. Then there is the motion sensor aspect. I have both a solar lantern and electric outdoor lights by my front gate and fence. Even with those it's very dark on the ground walking towards the gate. Since I have encountered snakes in this area, I like to see where I'm walking. I've got solar ground lights there but I hate the way they look from the road. They're too bright or not bright enough depending on the setting. These are perfect because they light up the area on a dim glow when no one is there. Then light up brighter as soon as someone is walking on the pathway. So there's not bright lights looking like it's an airport runway on the side of the road. LOL . Instead it's a warm glow until more is needed. They meet my needs completely. They are well built and the top part is metal. I do wish the entirety of them was metal but I didn't expect it at this price point. I do have some entirely metal solar lights but they were more expensive. I love the shape of these and they say they direct the light. They also light up a nice size area. I also like that they have an additional piece so they can be taller if needed (such as when using them along a grassy area). I feel these are a quality product and well made. Good value and I recommend them. I'm thinking about getting two more and putting on the other side of the walkway.

Very pretty pathway lights, Look beautiful by my walkway

[Set name: 2 Pack]
These pathway lights from Garpar are quite nice. The top part with the light feels heavy and well made. I love the shape of them and the light direction is perfect for our walkway. The stakes/stands are plastic and don't feel nearly as sturdy as the top portion with the light. They aren't bad quality, just plastic - and it's seems like a stronger material would have been a better choice to help support the weight of the top portion. You have the option to use extra plastic pieces to extend the height of the lights. I opted for the shortest height as they fit nicely in my landscaped area. I think with the additional pieces added, they would be prone to leaning. The light these emit is very pretty and adds a nice ambiance to my outdoor area. The first night I assumed these weren't charged fully as they didn't turn on. On the 2nd night when they didn't turn on again, I went to investigate. I realized that I need to push the little button near the light. There are several brightness settings to choose from. This is done by pressing the same button. Once I pushed the button they were illuminating the area beautifully. The motion detection setting makes them light up much brighter for a few seconds, then they dim back down to the original brightness setting.Overall, I love the shape of these and the way they look by my walkway. The only thing that would make these better is if the stakes/stands were metal and a little stronger.

[Set name: 2 Pack, Set name: 2 Pack]
I have a bunch of solar lights around our garden. Unfortunately, most of them stop working within a year. I'm hoping that these will last longer (they claim a 5-year lifespan on the product page), and I think they have a good chance. What particularly attracted me is that the clear cover over the solar panel is glass instead of plastic. This will hopefully eliminate the cloudiness most solar panels suffer from after exposure to the outdoors.I also like that the stakes are thicker and wider than on my other solar lights. They should be more durable than the thinner stakes my other solar panels have. And I like that these lights point down on a pathway instead of the top or the sides. This means that the lights are less blinding and more functional as true path lights. The lights have three settings, allowing activation by motion or to work as steady path lights. Changing between the modes is very easy with just one button. The lights are bright and work for many hours (depending on the setting and how long they were charging). The lights have a simple, clean, modern look, which may or may not work for everyone. I would have liked them to be a bit more decorative as I placed them in my fairy garden, but I do appreciate how functional they are. So far I like them, and if they are as durable as they look, I plan to get more to replace the failing ones. They are priced about 4 times more than similar solar lights, so we will see if they are worth it.

Bright Motion Sensing & Great Height Customization

[Set name: 2 Pack]
If you are looking for outdoor lighting that is a step above standard, dim solar stakes, these motion sensor pathway lights are a fantastic option. They offer a great balance of aesthetic appeal and functional security lighting. What Works Well:Excellent Size & Customization: Right out of the box, these lights are a very nice size—substantial enough to feel durable and look high-end along a walkway. A huge selling point is the three height options. Being able to change the height to whatever your specific landscape needs are makes them incredibly versatile, whether you need them low to the ground for a garden bed or taller to clear low foliage along a driveway.Smart Motion Sensing: The motion sensor feature works exactly as described. They cast a nice, bright 400-lumen light when you walk past, providing excellent visibility. I love the way the power management is set up: they dim shortly after motion is no longer detected, dropping back down to a softer ambient level to preserve the 1500mAh battery throughout the night.Quality Build: The tempered glass panel and larger solar surface feel heavy-duty and charge up efficiently even on slightly overcast days.Where it Could Improve:Spacing Strategy Required: Because they dim down to a lower ambient output when there’s no motion, you do have to place them a bit closer together if you want a completely continuous, solid line of light along your path during their "idle" mode.Final Verdict:These are well-engineered, highly adjustable solar lights that look great and provide extra peace of mind with their motion-activated brightness. The customizable height and smart dimming features make them a wonderful addition to any yard or garden path!

Ideal Modern Lighting, great product.

[Set name: 2 Pack]
These are some wonderfully crafted pathway/walkway lights. The design is clean and sleek. I appreciate the length on these, this makes the motion detection feature significantly more functional than what’d you get if it was low to the ground. The motion detection feature has worked quite well so far, reaches a good distance. Additional favorited characteristics would be the brightness and dimness, and the different modes available. All modes (3) work exactly as they are designed to. I appreciate the ability to use only as a motion detection light (it gets really bright when first tripped, then dims down, then shuts back off. You can also use bright light always on, dim light always on, etc. the light is bright enough to clearly see the surrounding area it’s placed in without being overbearing - though it might be for some if you don’t like bright outdoor lights. In this case, you could still opt for the low light mode to better suit your needs. The solar panel is large and sits on top of the light, this allows for ample sunlight and excellent power supply. It was easy to put together and materials good quality. I am impressed with this product, it certainly exceeded expectations. I would recommend this product for a wide range of needs and uses, they are soft yet bright - solar light powerhouses, with a small footprint and adjustable preferences for all of your needs.

[Set name: 2 Pack, Set name: 2 Pack]
I ordered this two pack for two areas in my backyard where I want light when people approach our stairs and a step down area around our pool pump house, but don’t want the light on at all times. These are perfect for what I needed in both areas. The “inverted golf club” like head has a large solar panel that collects enough light in a not full sun area to work when I need it and it is plenty bright. I use the mode that stays off until motion is sensed and then it goes to full bright. For the pool pump house that is in a dark area I have the light positioned off to the side of the top step of three steps down that are about 4’ wide. It senses me getting close within 2 feet which helps me avoid tripping or falling and illuminates the area well. I prefer not to have a light on at all times there as it would be distracting from the pool and landscape lighting. I use the other at the top of the stairs leading down the retaining wall block steps. The motion light there brightens the dimmer accent illuminated steps further for safety. The light is a warm light which matches my other landscaping lights well. My 2 pack only came with two plastic height tubes for each light and I used them both. The tubes and stake are both plastic and fit okay but were just that “okay, not a super finish. I am so pleased with the solar capability, brightness and function however I did not take away a star.
