The Oberade hardwired wall sconce looks elegant and modern. It’s simple and easy to install — just basic hardwiring. The built‑in LED is a nice touch since you never have to worry about replacing a bulb, and I really like that it offers five color options ranging from warm to cool white. The dimmer feature is great too, though you’ll need a compatible dimmer switch to use it.The light itself feels strong, durable, and a bit on the heavier side, which actually adds to the quality feel. Overall, it’s a very nice fixture. The downside is the price. At $99 for a single light, it’s definitely on the expensive side, especially since most people will need more than one. At this price point, I would expect additional features like wireless connectivity or smart‑home compatibility. After comparing similar styles on Amazon, this one is noticeably overpriced for what it offers.
This is a beautiful light. It feels solid, weighty, and high-quality, and looks great. It comes with a solid steel detachable universal mounting plate and mounts easily to any standard electrical box. If mounted on drywall, the light is heavy enough that I would strongly suggest using a stud-mounted electrical box. Please have a look at the attached pictures for verified dimensions and mounting setup. The actual light facing the room is 14" x 3.5+", The wall-facing mounting and connection box is 6" x 4.25". This light is meant to be hard-wired. As an electrician, I appreciate that there is enough space in the box to put some extra wire. Always easier to make the electrical connection with a little bit of extra wire:-) At the current price, this is a very good deal for a high-quality light. As far as I can tell, the LEDs are not replaceable. So, at the end of the light source's life, the whole light will have to be replaced.
I feel like these would be very nice to look at, if I could actually install them. The condo I live in was kinda destroyed by the previous tennet, so that might have something to do with my difficulty. She removed all the overhead lights for some reason and I've never really been able to figure out a fix. This is a nice looking light though and seems like it would provide a lot of light to a darker room, I'm just not sure how to set it up.
[Color: Black, Size: 2Pack]
I placed these sconces on either side of my mirror in my bathroom rather than an overhead light. They add a nice modern look to my remodeled bathroom. Good value.
I honestly went into this purchase with low expectations after seeing the packaging, it just did not look like it was going to hold anything special. Once I opened it up though I was genuinely surprised, this sconce is elegant and clearly well made, the black finish looks sleek and modern on my wall. Having the dimmable function is such a nice bonus, I can adjust the brightness depending on the mood or time of day, and being able to switch between different color temperatures gives me even more flexibility depending on the room or occasion. The build quality feels solid too, definitely not the flimsy or cheap feeling piece I was bracing myself for based on that plain box. Really happy with how this turned out, exceeded my expectations by a wide margin.
This is a hardwired LED light sconce; You need to remove your existing light fixture, unscrew the backplate from this fixture, screw it into the electric box that was holding the previous fixture, twist the electric wires into the wires from the wall, and screw the entire sconce into the backplate with two screws. If you've ever changed a light fixture before, this is super easy. If you have not, it's fairly easy, but you may want to watch a tutorial video. (The instructions aren't great.) Just make sure the breaker for the light is off before you start. My previous sconce is from the 1970s. It was so heavy that the neck bent at some point, allowing the light to droop over the years. I finally got around to replacing it with this sconce. What a difference! Even with an LED bulb, the thick glass of the old sconce just robbed the room of light. This light is so much brighter, and as a bonus you can choose the temperature of the light just by moving a switch on the bottom of the light fixture. This light is also much lighter, so I expect that it will not droop over the years. The one downside of lights like this is that once the LEDs start dying, you have to replace the whole fixture instead of just a bulb. Fortunately most LED light fixtures are rated to last about a decade with normal use, so I have installed a lot of built in LED fixtures. They tend to be slimmer than the ones that take actual LED bulb replacements, and you can make nicer looking lights (like this one) with them. For the price, I like this light a lot. My wife's side of the bedroom still has the old sconce, so I will buying another of these to replace that as well. Recommended.
Our guest bathroom had one of those ugly three-bulb chrome bars over the mirror, and my wife has been asking me to do something about it for about two years. These sconces were the fix. Mounted one on each side of the mirror and the difference is night and day, both in looks and in how the light actually falls on your face. No more shadows under the eyes when I'm shaving.Installation took me maybe forty minutes for the pair, and I am not an electrician. The mounting plate lines up with a standard box, the wire leads are long enough to work with comfortably, and the instructions were actually readable. Before I buttoned everything up I flipped the little color temperature switch around to see what I liked. Ended up at 3500K, which feels clean without going into that blue hospital territory. They work with the dimmer we already had on that circuit, and they dim down smooth and low without flickering or buzzing, which surprised me since I've had cheap LEDs fail that test before. The matte black finish looks more expensive than what I paid, and it has a nice weight to it rather than feeling like thin stamped metal.Already planning to order another set for the hallway. Genuinely good value for how much they upgraded the room.
I’m very pleased with this wall sconce. The ability to choose from five different color temperatures is a fantastic feature because it makes it easy to create the perfect atmosphere, whether I want a warm, relaxing glow or a bright daylight setting for tasks. The dimming function works smoothly with my LED dimmer, giving me excellent control over the brightness without any flickering. The fixture itself feels well made, with a sturdy aluminum construction and a sleek matte black finish that looks modern and high-end. The up-and-down light distribution provides soft, even illumination that is comfortable on the eyes while adding a sophisticated touch to the room.Installation is straightforward thanks to the included hardware and clear instructions. Once mounted, it immediately elevated the look of the space. Its clean, minimalist design blends beautifully with a variety of décor styles, making it equally suitable for a hallway, bathroom vanity, bedroom, or living room. Overall, this is a stylish, versatile, and high-quality lighting fixture that offers excellent value and performance. The price is excellent for what it delivers, lighting is a sure way to change your room up with little investment. This light is well worth the cost.
