I bought this light stand mostly to try out shooting magazine pages, and it works well for that allowing for hands free shooting. The remote shutter is definitely a great added bonus. I thought the ring light might produced less glare but shooting from directing above the magazine, there was still too much glare. To avoid the glare the magazine must be shot slightly from an angle. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to assemble the stand. I do like the overall adjustability and the stability of the stand and the ability to extend the arm. It would be nice if the arm could extend further so that the stand base is not in the shot. I do not like that you cannot adjust the vertical height of the stand, although the arm raises or lowers for height adjustment. It would be nice if you could disconnect the power cable from the light as it gets tangled around the arm when you attach the light to it. Also, when you unplug the power the light resets to mid-color level, so if you prefer a different color temperature, you need to set it each time. Finally their is a tag attached to the power cord recommending a PC not be used to power it through UBS as it may not be powerful enough for the light. However, I plugged into an adapter in a standard power strip and the connector got very hot. I personally do not see a problem using a PC, nor saw any difference in brightness in the light when doing so.

It was super easy to put together and I’m old and don’t know how to do that stuff but it was easy for me anyway it’s my go to lamp for my desk and it’s perfect

I love this light. I bought it to shoot YouTube videos. It does that very well. I also use it when crafting, and when I am doing my nails. It is really adjustable and easy to use and assemble. The stand and light are very sturdy. The phone holder is ok. I wish it was constructed better, but you can replace it with any other phone holder or a camera holder if you want. The phone fits my galaxy s26 ultra, and the remote connected with no issues.

For what I bought it has its problems adjusting or securing the ring in the position shown in video. The wing nut is as tight as I could get it, but is not tight enough to secure with the weight of the phone, is very loose. Is a shame because is well build illuminates well but it has that weak point. Will probably return.

I am disappointed, this was the perfect light for me. The stand is sturdy, everything feels high quality, the only problem is that if it is even turned to the side slightly the light and your phone will just tip, and there is no adjusting that part.UPDATE. The seller reached out and offered a full refund for the product. They have great customer service and really wanted to make things right.

Update: Updating my review from 3 starts to 5.The seller reached out and sent a replacement. The new unit functions as advertised. It is a great product especially for the price point. I am very impressed by their customer service. If you have a problem with any of their items I recommend you reach out to them.The product has a nice base and solid feel. Overall it functions well with the exception of the adjustable arm... The lighting was nice an even. The remote was easy to pair an get working.Unfortunately, the adjustable arm is a deal breaker. So either the product description is wrong or I received a faulty product. The adjustable part of this product for versatility is very important... so I will have to return....I wish the arm was adjustable... if you don't need that feature then it is nice product.
