When I first opened these lights, I was immediately impressed by the charging cable. Being able to charge all three lights, or less, at the same time is invaluable. The mess of cables all over our house littering multiple charging stations - is sometimes out of control. Having ONE cable like this is genius. After quickly charging them, I placed them in the short hallway that we like to have a motion light in and I placed the lights THIGH level, as that is where we usually keep our motion lights. I noticed that during the day the lights still went off and seemed to NOT respond well to motion. However, when I used them at night the motion detection was perfect, yet the amount of light put off was not nearly enough. Then I realized that these are meant for stairs so they are meant to be FOOT height not thigh heigh and when I placed these lights on the floor - the area lit by them actually perfect to navigate the corners and or anything that might have been left out slightly into the pathway to the bathroom. The various colors were at first useless in my mind. But then I realized each color actually puts off a different amount of light, so if I just want VERY little light that won't shock someone away at night on the way to the loo I can set them to red which puts off just enough light to get around and it doesn't wake your eyes up. If I need more light, I set them to the lighter brighter colors. I also worried that because the lights detect motion and go off 24 hours a day that the battery would get flat very quickly, the product description mentions it can detect when there is enough light and NOT go off during those times but it seems that our apartment is dim enough that the lights do tend to go off all day as well as during the night. The lights charge so fast and are so easy to pop on their charger that this actually doesn't bother me in the slightest.
I love the idea of these. Given that they are electronic some of them are likely to have issues with battery or color change. I had two in my 12 pack that are somewhat defective.

Overall, I really like these, two of them are in our stairwell where we tend to leave lights on and now it's automated and the lights are getting left on less. One is magnet attached to the light switch plate and one to a metal bracket holding up the banister. Two more are in the hallway from the main bedroom to the en suite bathroom which eliminates the need to turn on that hallway light as much when just passing through. One of them is in the kids bathroom stuck to a metal vent plate, and one of them is in the kitchen, together this covers all of the major night time travel areas after we've turned off most of the lights if somebody needs to grab something. Using on the auto motion sensitive setting, the batteries last for a couple of days to a week or two. I haven't really had to keep track of how often I charge any particular one, I just grab one from near my bathroom to replace the dead one and then charge that one when needed and I don't even think I've had to charge all of them yet since the initial charge. They were convenient to pack up a few and take on vacation with us. The color change button seems to be a little oversensitive at times which is annoying, but otherwise I don't have any serious complaints. My kids love all the color options so it's become a game to see what color they change the stairway to everyday. I would love a magnet to hinge clamp option for areas that don't have a magnetic surface or a hanging hook option. I have not yet committed to sticking any of the metal plates up somewhere that there wasn't already something magnetic.

These are a pretty fair price for what you get. You get three lights for about $17. That's just over $5 each and it's not a bad price.They recharge fairly quickly during the day allowing for plenty of night time use. Although the colors could be considered a novelty, I was hoping for a warm white too which you only get colors.Brightness is adjustable on a light by light setting - it's not fixed adjustments rather hold and adjust which makes getting all the lights the same dimness or brightness is rather difficult.The quality of the lights is pretty fair. I think these should last quite awhile.These aren't super bright and specifically meant to light up the floor. Keep that in mind when you place them.

This is a very well priced trio of motion sensing lights. They are so easy to operate, too. You just tap the front to cycle through a variety of rich saturated colors. They last a good while compared to come of my other motion sensing battery powered lights. They have a magnet built into the back for easy mounting. I've been very impressed with the accuracy and distance of the motion sensing. As soon as I walk into my hallway they spring to life for me. They are really just perfect.
