The room my team sits in is called the pit. When they Reno’d, they were supposed to put in a dimmer with these godawful lights. They didn’t. And the university is too cheap to do it after the fact. We convinced maintenance to order some cheap not flammable plastic bag looking diffusers but we had to double up and it looks like we plastic-wrapped the lights. Cue these. Now, we have 2x2’s in this room, but the only way we were going to get something like this was if someone outside of facilities purchased them. Voila. I brought these in and asked if they’d be willing to cut them to size (and because it was free to them, they were happy to). They did an excellent job- other reports about jagged edges don’t appear to be true here, but our facilities guy is very particular. They look a lot better than the plastic bag things, and diffuse maybe a little better than double bagging it. I do wish they diffused just a little better, or came in like a sky color that would make the lights less harsh, but it’s much better than it was.

These diffuser panels gave our guest bathroom an instant update. The old cover looked dated, and this made a noticeable difference right away. The light quality improved a lot. It softened the harsh glare we had before and spread the light more evenly across the room. The material feels sturdy. It's noticeably stronger than the flimsy acrylic cover we replaced, and it doesn't feel like it will crack or yellow over time.Fitting it was easy. It matched our ceiling grid well, and having the option to cut it down would be helpful for anyone with a different sized opening. It arrived in perfect condition. The corner packaging clearly did its job, since there was no cracking or damage at all.Overall this was a simple fix that made a big visual difference. It's a great way to modernize a bathroom without a full renovation.

I'm going to use these panels as a backing to gridwall for a lighting installation. They are perfect for this. They diffuse the light from my LED strips so it isn't all concentrated at one thin strip. They came well-secured, perfect condition. They are rigid, really sturdy. I suggest anyone needing to cut them to their research and pick a jigsaw blade made for this material. Otherwise you're going to shatter it. Do your homework! I think for the amount of raw materials I got for this price they were reasonable. I can't wait to get my project finished now that I have everything!

You will be amazed, I was!!! I replaced a yellowed plastic cover with what looks like a ribbed glass cover. It cut to fit easily. This is the perfect example of “you get what you pay for.”

The light covers came in a 4 pack and are made from polycarbonate material. The light diffusing panels are 23.8" x 47.8" x 0.2". They are made to work in drop ceiling lighting as replacement covers and are able to be cut to fit as well. They are a good quality replacement part and look just like the original light covers that we initially had up. They are easy to assemble by just popping them up into the existing space, if your space is smaller, you can easily trim them first. They are a good value for the money.

These aren't specialized light fixture covers as the title suggests, but that doesn't mean it is not a good product as long as you understand the limitations. When I opened these, I quickly recognized them as standard roofing panels, just cut to more manageable 4'X2' instead of the standard 4'x8'.As such, they are not optimized for diffusing of light fixtures, since the light loss is pretty significant.See the 4th and 5th photo of how a standard flashlight loses intensity through them. However, they were perfect for my intended use - I built a large light box out of them. These panels are lightweight and easy to work with, just be careful as they can get easily damaged. They look good, the cuts were smoothly made, and the semi-transparent white color is convenient.I also liked the fact they were well protected with sturdy corner bracketsWith that in mind, I think it's still a good product and decent value for money as the price of these 4 pieces is similar to that of the full panel at the hardware store, and the convenience and free Amazon shipping make it a worthwhile product that will save you the time and hassle of picking it up in person, and the need for a large truck bed to carry them. Therefore, I can recommend these, and they win my well deserved 4 star review.

After an incident involving a fist going through the old light cover during a VR game it was finally time to replace the horrible, old cover. Overall, these covers are way nicer than our previous one. They are a nice white color, however, they are also much thicker which is causing a little less light to get through than we would like. I will note that our home is older and the small fluorescent light that we are using these covers on is our only overhead light source. They shipped quickly and were packaged very well. I was a little concerned that they wouldn't make it in one piece, but they did. They come in a box that is barely bigger than they are and have plastic corners taped to them to prevent the corners from becoming damaged. The panel easily slid into the 2x4 foot drop ceiling frame making installation a breeze.

OverviewThese are white polycarbonate fluorescent light diffuser panels featuring a corrugated dual-layer construction. They are significantly more rigid than many older diffuser panels and can be cut to fit a variety of ceiling light fixtures. One important tip: each panel is covered with a protective white plastic film on both sides that must be removed before installation. If cutting is required, these panels can be trimmed with a utility knife and straight edge for installations where the cut edges will be concealed. For exposed edges or a more professional finish, consider using a saw and reviewing one of the many online tutorials for cutting polycarbonate panels.Pros* Durable and rigid construction* Stiff enough that overlapping panels was not necessary in my fixture* Protective film helps prevent scratches during shipping and handling* Can be cut with basic tools such as a utility knife and straight edge* Provides a clean, updated appearance for older light fixtures* Six-pack option may offer better value for larger projectsCons* Reduced the brightness of my kitchen noticeably compared to the previous diffuser panels* Achieving perfectly clean cuts can be challenging without the proper tools and technique* Some users may find the material difficult to work with during installation* Appearance is subjective and may not appeal to everyoneConclusionThese diffuser panels are sturdy, durable, and provide an updated look for fluorescent fixtures. Their rigidity is a major advantage over thinner panels that require overlapping. However, buyers should be aware that they may significantly reduce light output depending on the fixture and bulbs being used. If your current lighting is already borderline dim, you may want to consider that before purchasing.
