This solar motion light is a great idea, especially when I pull into the driveway and get out. I don't need a lot of light, but enough to move around obstacles and find my keys when I drop them. This light works flawlessly; coming on and going off automatically. My complaint is that the light brightness is barley minimal. The light is of course close to the garage so there is not a lot of traffic. As a result the battery has never failed to work throughout the on/off cycle. I have used it only once as a work light. I clipped it onto the lift gate on a family SUV to unload many boxes of clothes and groceries. The total use time was about 40 minutes total. The light worked better for this close up distance, and it was being used manually on/off.Light technology today has been rapidly progressing, and lights even 5 years ago were better than this one, I have solar lights along my driveway that have 3 settings and emit enough light that I keep them on "Low."I have a couple of photos trying to show its performance but my cell phone takes awful low light pictures if you are trying to show what it really looks like. The camera tries to enhance or correct the low light situation. I hope this helps you decide on the purchase.

These are nice lights that clipped effortlessly on my metal fence. I had to move one around because it was not turning on, thinking that maybe it wasn't get sun light. However, I still need to manually hit a button to make it work.

I have been able to clip this almost anywhere. I have used it for temporary walkway lighting at campsites. The motion mode enables a longer lasting charge.

These lights have been in place for about a week and I am very happy with the light output and coverage. They clip securely to the tops of the fence pickets. I'd recommend these lights.
