I am just getting started in portrait photography and needed soft ox lighting without spending a lot of money.These work very well.

This is a perfect Lighting Kit because it takes away dark shadows, it is excellent for filming videos.

Nice looking adjustable brightness and color with diffusion scrims. The light source is forward facing with an opaque plastic diffusion cover, the light is diffused further when using the scrim cover. These are 2 color LED units with heat sinks, they get warm, but not hot. I don't know what the three doughnut shapes are in the product image, I think they are just an illustration of the 3 main color modes.The vertical stands can be elevated to eye level, however It would be a significant improvement if they were 12 to 24 inches taller. The attachment for over head is adjustable angle and extendable. It raises the light high enough over head to be usable. There is a bag for counter weight, I used baking soda in zip lock bags because it is dense and cheap, but don't try to go through airport security with that white powder.These plastic connectors look strong, but I will still be careful with them. the top connector stud is aluminium, but the light hangs on a plastic connector.invert the fold along the sewn edge to get the Velcro on the correct side of the scrim cover. These lights are easy to assemble.The lights come with a remote control that is universal across several brands. you may need to shield or turn lights from the reflected infra red of the remote to prevent both lights responding to the remote control. The remote control has several presets and capability to adjust through the full range of adjustment. There is also a dim mode button that lowers the light level. I have used this remote on another brand of light and it functions the same for that other brand.

Just what I needed for my self tap setup. The lights are super easy to set up and versatile. Comes with two remotes but you only need one to control them. The stand's seem pretty sturdy and the lights covers are perfect for soft light. I don’t even have to raise them to full height. The set also come with a carrying case.
