This outdoor/indoor dimmer plug with remote control is exactly what it claims to be, for use with compatible dimmable LED, or incandescent lights. The remote is RF, so it will work through walls, and therefore line of sight is not necessary. The remote has a timer for turning off the lights after the chosen period of 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. The timer does not include a daily schedule, it is for manual off periods only. This unit does not connect to WiFi, it is remote controlled only (or by pressing the button on the front of the unit). Comes with a wall bracket to slip the remote in to if you like. Has set dimmer percentages of 25, 50, 75, or 100%. Also has a variable + & - adjustment buttons; and will dim right down without flicker to almost off for some bulbs, and quite low for others.Overall a good, functional, RC dimmer switch, at a good price. My only complaint is that the remote buttons are somewhat hard to read – especially in the dark.

This dimmer plug is such a handy little device! I love being able to control my outdoor string lights with the remote instead of having to constantly go outside and unplug or adjust them manually.The dimming feature works really well and makes it easy to get the exact amount of light I want, whether I'm looking for a soft, relaxing glow or something brighter. The timer is another great feature, especially for outdoor lights that I don't want running all night.It’s easy to use, convenient, and makes managing my outdoor lighting so much easier. Definitely a great little addition for anyone with outdoor string lights!

This is a wireless remote controller and outlet set. The remote controller is battery powered (included) has a working 100 foot operating distance. The remote comes with a wall mount bracket. The outlet has a three prong inlet and outlet. It is rated at IP44, best for indoor use. The switch can handle up to 150W LED/CFL and 400W incandescent bulbs, do not use with non-bulb electrical appliances. For those bulbs that can be dimmed it is available. There are programmable timer functions as well.Would recommend this to anyone.

Years ago, I divided one large room in my house into two separate bedrooms for two of my children. Because the original room only had one wired ceiling light, the second bedroom does not have an electrical light fixture in the ceiling. So, I used two plug-in floor lamps to light the room. One lamp is next to my daughter’s bed and is easy for her to turn on and off. But the other lamp is in the far corner of the room, and there are cabinets and other stuff always in the way that make the switch difficult to reach. I know the dimmer is titled for outdoor use, but from the product description, it seemed like it could also be used for indoor lights that plug in.So, I ordered this dimmer for two reasons. I wanted my daughter to be able to adjust the brightness, but the main reason was so she could turn the lamp on and off with the remote without having to walk to the corner of the room every time she needs to turn the floor lamp on and off.When it arrived, I really liked how well-made the plug felt. I could clearly tell that the hard and thick plastic was designed to be waterproof for outdoor use. And it was extremely easy to set up and use. I plugged the dimmer into the wall outlet, plugged the lamp into the dimmer, and the remote control immediately connected without any connection setup required. The LED bulb that was already in the lamp was dimmable, so I didn't need to put a new one in. And everything worked out perfectly. Now my daughter can turn the lamp on and off as well as dim it from anywhere in her room. The timer is also a nice bonus feature. The timer can be set to two, four, six or eight hours. So, if she want to sleep with the light on and dimmed, she can set the timer to a few hours to have it turn off after she falls asleep.For $23, this plug-in dimmer is a great value and has made the floor lamp in my daughter's room so much more convenient and easier to control. The remote works great and has a long range; the light can be turned on/off and the brightness can be adjusted; and the timer is a nice extra feature. And it is well-built and waterproof for outdoor use. My daughter is very happy and so I definitely recommend it.

This made it so simple to set up lighting solutions for my patio and not have to worry about turning them on/plugging them in each night and then unplugging them in the morning. I can just set the timer and forget about them, leaving this handy gadget to do the remembering for me and always having my lights on when I need them. It’s also nice that it comes with a remote so that I can turn it off and on manually without having to go unplug it or go out and fuss with the outlet itself. It works great and I feel confident that it won’t be a hazard since it is supposed to be waterproof and is designed for outdoor use. I do have mine in a more covered area since it’s on an outlet that is connected to the house, but it still has potential to get a stray raindrop or a few and I wouldn’t be concerned. I think it’s helpful that it has two outlets on this timer as well so that I can make the most out of my very limited outdoor outlets as well as ensure that I’m saving electricity by not running lights when they aren’t needed and cutting them off when the sun is up using the timer feature

My string lights are not very bright to begin with so not using the dimmer that much. What I wanted to do with this outlet is to program my string lights to be on for a certain time when it gets dark. But this outlet gives you only option for 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours. I am missing the option for 3 or 5 hours. Also, I am missing an automatic turn on when it gets dark. So for the options it gives you its overpriced.
