[Style: Micro Dimmer Module]
This thing is very small, but buzzes slightly. It replaced the much larger first generation instion which had failed. This is about 1/4 the size old unit, which means it will fit an almost any J box, or most light fixture bases. The screw terminals make installation quick and easy, though I did have to trim the wires down close to the insulation to avoid a potential short. I notice the buzz where it is behind a wall sconce and it is right next to my ear. I can just detect it from my bed about 6’ away. Could be the bulb, but that too would relate to the dimmer module. It did not buzz with the old unit.

Ordered this module to go with an insteon hub and some other dimmer switches to start converting my lights over to "smart control" and this thing is really cool!Installation was fairly straightforward - it comes with instructions explaining multiple options for wiring it up based on your switch type. Isn't unctions are easy to follow if you have a basic understanding of wiring a switch. The module is quite small, but I still had to shorten some wires in the box where I installed it to make a little more room - after that minor change it with no difficulty.Setup is REALLY easy - once you turn the power back on everything else is done from the Insteon app. I have my micro module set up to be a "controller and responder" for a specific scene in a basement room - when I flip the switch it activates the "scene" and turns on the lights it is wired to at a set level 3 other switches to set levels - saving me from having to go into the room to get all the lights turned on! Very nice.Pros: great instructions; easy to install if you understand wiring a switch; easy setupCons: other than wishing it was about $15 cheaper, none!

These work great. Have several installed inside and out. Will fit in almost any box. I have noticed that some are not recognized by the hub when you first try to add them to your system. Just keep trying. The last one I ordered took three attempts. Once added, they work fine. These are more flexible than the InlineLinc due to the additional sense wires that allow you to add them without removing existing switches.

I have several of these. They have worked perfectly so far. Switching from x10 to Insteon was the best thing that I did. My issues with X10 are gone, the lights work as they should. One of the ways that I have used these, is to take the motion detector/controller off my floodlights. Now the only component that may need to be replaced 2 stories in the air are the LED bulbs. The Dimmer Modules have been placed in a junction box down where it is accessible if necessary. For my other floodlights, this unit fits nicely inside the junction box. We've even added these to other lights, like the ones around the doorway, that were not "intelligent." I am extremely pleased with all my Insteon devices.

These units are tiny (1.8" x 1.8" x 0.7") and were super easy to wire up using the built-in screw terminals. I'm using two of these in conjunction with one . Pairing was a piece of cake and all three units seem to be working great so far.

Soo You'll need to be able to read electrical designs for this not hard but not obvious, works great and I love it over my costly Lutron switches. It's pretty small so you normally can stuff it in the Jbox, might be a little tight.Cool thing is you can set the start speed so when you turning on your lights they can slowly turn and off. Also take a picture of the ID in the back your going to need it later,

This is a fantastic Insteon module that can be used to automate your lights without need to remove the regular switch. I have many of these and just needed to connect my ordinary switch to sensing wire and light keep working as if didn't change anything but now with the availability of control light using any Insteon Hub.
