This is a cost-effective traditional hanging lamp that projects light up and down and looks fantastic. Only issue is that directions do not speak of each part in the attachment to the ceiling and where each part goes. There are several nuts and there's a plastic piece where the wiring gets pushed through, but there's no instructions on what goes where. When you get the lamp, all the parts are bundled together, but that does not necessarily give a hint of where they eventually will go. I am seeing this as a common problem with offshore items. So it took a bit of figuring out and as much common sense as I could gather to get this thing attached to the ceiling.
