This is SO cool and SO complicated! I love this fixture, but I'm glad I only had to put it together once! This came in two large and heavy boxes. The crystal glass is hefty and beautiful, and I would recommend a heavy duty fan or light box to hold the weight. It took us a while to put this together. It is unique, looks gorgeous, and there are certainly options that look similar for 5 times the price. These are fixed arms and the shades must be installed, and light bulbs added (not included) before you hang it. We used three people - two to hold it up from the floor, while the third person attached the wires and screwed in the canopy. The fixture is almost a yard in radius -- it's dramatic, striking, impressive. It works beautifully with a variety of design styles, but is not subtle! The light I have has 12 bulbs, but there are versions offered with 15 or 18 lights at 43" diameter. Whew! This works for a large dining room, foyer, or library. If the ceiling is very high, you will need at least two people on separate ladders to get it into place safely. The quality of the fixture and glass is excellent.
